  1. Floatation cushions are not legal, so that's a mute point. So a throw cushion is better than a floating rope eh? you only have one shot to get the cushion beside the drownee, at least with the floating rope you have multiple tries to get the rope within reach.
  2. Oh ya, what the internet has decimated is beyond belief.
  3. Glad you beat the little stabbers, got hit in the side of the throat years ago, lost vision in one eye for about 2 minutes, that venom must be nasty poop.
  4. Probably fun, too bad everything has to be motorized and go fast.
  5. Sorry for your loss man, pets aren't taken lightly.
  6. One hint that worked for me, a shot of Seafoam in every tankful, at the end of the season, drain the carbs dry, change the fuel filter. Princess Auto has small ones that will fit in place of the outrageously overpriced OEM ones for about $5. And drain the tank hose too, put a small nail in the output end and push down on the ball bearing at the other end.
  7. Exactly, it's a vasoconstrictor, meaning the blood vessels shrink. Not exactly the smartest thing in my book if your trying to revive a fish and get it back in the water.
  8. I guess its more of a minnow business for winter, sad to see another one close up.
  9. Yup, got one of those, "No agents, peddlers or soliciting". Can't read the queens english eh, no agents, means people of your ilk, no peddlers means people trying to flog stuff and no soliciting means asking for stuff. Now go forth and bug the jehovah across the street.
  10. Careful folks, the people with the clipboards are out there canvassing again trying to lock you in to crazy NG prices. This guy even had an Enbridge bill on the clipboard. Keep an eye out for the older unsuspecting folks.
  11. Ya, the Postmaster changed the postal code, and that's when the first renewal happened, can they use ash trees for paper, I mean they're cutting them all down anyway. Or would that become paper.
  12. I would rather try a factory larger set of jets than have someone start reaming out holes and trashing a good set. In 17 years of running mine, never ever had a fuel problem, other guy with the same SS 30HP is about 14 years and no problems without carb tinkering.
  13. Already done on the 23rd of June and posted.
  14. Hang in there Brian, crossing my fingers for ya, lots of fish left out there that you need to catch and play with the grand kids.
  15. If you're going to buy one, then get the one with 2 hoses, one for in and one for blowing out hot air. I had the single hose model and because our house is so air tight, it started to suck outdoor air in through the B chimney for the water heater. Not good! Secondly it really didn't come close to the output that a same size window shaker does.
  16. Registered and licenced are 2 completely different things. Licencing is required every 10 years regardless of when it was done. Mine was initially done in 96, renewed just before the due date and coming up again in a couple years.
  17. If you're pulling out the choke and it's running faster, then you definitely have carb issues, the jets need a thorough cleaning. I just did a lawnmower for a lady a couple doors down, run for 2-3 seconds and quit, over and over. Pulled off the bowl and it was full of little gummed up gas balls. Took out the main jet, ran a very thin piece of copper wire through it and pushed out more jello gas. A little more cleaning, put it back together and it runs like new. She even said she used stabilizer regularly. I showed her the can of Seafoam for future use.
  18. Everyone has the right to an opinion, and BTW I didn't call anyone an idiot.
  19. As said above, some fall into the pit of taking pills for pain, I understand that, some don't make the effort to get themselves out of the pit either. For those that try it..just to see, they are the ones that made that decision and have no sympathy for them. Every now and then I have to swallow a couple or I can't walk or sit, but I'll live with the small pain and for me it's the very last resort. I hate that stuff.
  20. X2, If everything's not tight and things flop around, it may impart a miniscule amount of shock to the lower leg. I'll take my chances with the transom saver.
