Cabelas does not make oil, it's rebranded from some other company. Do some googling and then go buy the appropriate amsoil synthetic, either for premix or injector.
I've got the Elite 5 HDI in the boat, works very well and it does have the flasher mode if you're so inclined. They have come down quite a bit in price.
It's unfortunate yours is the 4X, X means no GPS/Map. If you went with this one, it would be all in one. I don't know if it has a flasher mode for ice fishing. http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Products/Fishfinder-Chartplotter/Elite-4-CHIRP-en-us.aspx
I would have written down the boat number, put my motor in gear and left and waved at them with one finger, the middle one in particular. Why hang around and suffer abuse at the lips of loogans.
If you have a TA Appliance in your area or go to the big BBQ shop just off the 400 by highway 7. Either will have the parts to make that one function for many more years. I hate throwing away stuff when it can be fixed.
If you are operating a pleasure craft that is licensed, registered or titled in a country outside Canada, you
must comply with the safety equipment requirements of the country in which the vessel is registered or
licensed. Foreign visitors operating a Canadian licensed or registered vessel must comply with
Canadian regulations. So if you're bring your boat across the border, go with your state regs. If you operate a Canadian licenced/reg'd boat, follow our rules.
I tried one of those a couple years ago, claimed it could move 5000lbs. Maybe downhill with a stiff breeze on pavement. As soon as it hit grass or the slightest bit of an up incline, forgetaboutit.
Yes, I do own an ATV, however river/creek riding is verboten. Had an incident a while back where they caught a bunch going up/down the Mad river, MNR caught wind of that cuz the dumb butts posted it. Major can of whoop exploded.
Jeez, I feel like I'm working at the receiving end of the bowling alley, round 4 is crashing through now. Couple of 60- 70 foot trees down, someones getting a new car, cuz what's left looks like a skateboard. So far, nobody hurt.
