  1. I took a drive to Orillia this morning to get my derby tag, the Simcoe side is almost open all the way, just a bit of ice on the East side of the Narrows. The free launch is open although the dock has not been installed. The water level is a bit higher, the cement pad is completely under water. On the Couchiching side there's a bit more ice but that will probably go in the next week. Took a walk down the old rail bed, surprised that nobody was fishing there. On the way back, saw 2 boats being launched at the free launch.
  2. I would think it falls under the transporting of fish, whether already cleaned or not and in part states the CO must be able to ascertain the number of fish in YOUR possession and the species of fish in YOUR possession, therefore, I would not pool my fish in one bucket regardless of how many hands are making small work of transporting the bucket. Separate bags maybe inside one larger bag or bucket, but keep them separate for an easy count.
  3. Well, all I can say is that it's a product that's needed when the urge strikes. It looks a little large, how about something the size of one of those ice fishing chairs where the cover pulls overtop.
  4. Yes, you asked about suckers, but aside from the exceptions as mentioned above, go check the dictionary for CLOSED. No fishing allowed regardless if the specie is not mentioned. Suckers, catfish and other "rough" fish are not mentioned in zone specific areas because there is no closed season on them, but CLOSED means NO FISHING to everything.
  5. Ah, problem solved, not all the pages were loading..
  6. Those thieves should have their fingers smashed with a 10 pound ball pein hammer and I'm willing to lay the first smashing. When done, they wouldn't even be able to pick their schnoz, never mind picking up something that doesn't belong to them.
  7. I don't think it covers the 25HP + sizes of Honda, only goes up to the 20's.
  8. Well, seeing as how you have already ordered it, maybe should have asked first, then jump. Don't know what you plan on carting around, but after 6 months of having a similar item, I went back to a truck cap. Always seemed like there was something 3 inches too high to put under there and it was either raining or snowing. Good luck.
  9. Hmm, you're not that far away, haven't seen any in the woods yet, will make an effort tomorow.
  10. Tinbanger: What are those brown plops in the third photo? Can't quite make them out.
  11. There is also "liquid tape" that can cover chew marks on the wires, available at CTC or Princess Auto, comes in different colours.
  12. Take off the engine cover and start looking around the motor and crankcase area, there will likely be another set of numbers stamped in there somewhere, then one of the guys who has access to engine/model cross ref may be able to narrow it down.
  13. Well, it's closed upstream of 89, 89 to Pine river is catch & release only all year, downstrean of the Pine/Notty you'll need an Essa Twsp pass for fishing the public land access. North of the swamp is still pretty high water and looks like diarhea.
  14. Maybe your hearing was also jarred after listening to the loud music while going over the manhole cover.
  15. Aside from the photos that make the motor look like a flock of pigeons nested in there, and, the prop looks like it was used for splitting granite, have you really ever taken a Titanic out on the water? Unless those bench seats are loaded with foam,(and even then), those boats have the floatability of a brick. Maybe good for bouncing off Georgian Bay rockpiles in calm waters, but one good wave over the side and... Like Sinker said, that motor has been pounded, no paint on the prop or skeg, maybe all that sand went up throughh the water pump, hmmm, good for polishing the water passages and impeller housing.
  16. Run it until the tanks empty, then run it on fumes, drain the carb, let it sit outside somewhere safe, gas cap off and let the tank dry out. Doing it since '91, my auger still works.
  17. Ya, always the few idiots that will screw it up for the rest who respect the free parking and don't leave their garbage around.
  18. I bought the BPro brand 2 years ago, top and pants, elastic cuffs and hood, keeps you dry without any sweating.
  19. Okay so now we know what Photoz and his gang of Posties are doing, goofing off at the Post Office changing boat registrations...got one on ya Steve.
  20. No, can't you feel one leg longer than the other? About $35 for trailer plate plus tax on the sale unless you bamboozle the tax man and tell him you built it. No charge for transfer of boat registration. Safety kit, anchor or oars, $ 0-50, FLOATING 15M(50') with throwing device $10, PFD's for all passengers $$$$. Probably around $100. Boat licence, don't know if there's any cost involved.
  21. Did you have a cape & sandals and a spear? Do you know Gomer Pyle?
  22. $350, are you serious? That's robbery!. There was a similar thread about 2-3 weeks ago that covered it all.
  23. 25 years with the MP's, another 10 years as a civvy dispatcher for them, and now another year and a half at Range Control keeping the troops safe on the ranges and training areas.
