  1. Lew take the meter and go from ground to each of both of the wires one of them needs to give you 12 volts. That is the feed wire. If you do not have 12 volts to either wire then you have no power to the switch. Run a wire from the hot side of the battery to each of the wires one side of it should honk the horn. Take that wire and hook it to the switch. Then take the hot wire and put it to the other side of the switch. Push the switch and it will honk. If the statements are all true then you have lost power between the input of the switch and the fuse block. Find the fuse block and pull the fuse. Go from ground to the fuse block one side should read hot. If it does and it is the one for the horn then the fuse holder is damaged if the fuse reads good. You can call me if you want I will P.M. you my phone # . Art

  4. Back in 2000 I used this seat frame and mounted a marine seat to it for my comfort shock absorber tractor seat. It is also mounted on my ZTR lawnmower and both are doing just fine. Art
  5. If it does start to leak you can open a box of jello and pour it on the crack. While it will not stop the leak it will give you time to get to shore because "there is always time for Jello." Art
  6. One of my favorite ways to get a mess of LEGALLY caught catfish here in the USA is jug fishing. We use jugs with 4 ft of line and circle hooks baited with chicken livers to get the eating size Channel cats here. We usually fish 5 jugs on the river spread out and let them drift down river in front of the boat. Once a jug goes down then you use the trolling motor to fish it out and drop dinner into the cooler. The fun begins when you have more than one jug with a fish hooked then it is a mad dash to chase them down before the next one bobs. I am not sure what the legality of fishing this way in Canada is but if it is legal it is a fun way to get a catfish fry together. Art
  7. Rob I don't use anything except circle hooks for Catting the hook up rate is very high if you do not set the hook. I use a 7/0 or 8/0 hook single hooked thru the skin of a 6-12 oz steak of shad presented on the bottom. The smaller cats that may worry the bait call attention to the bigger fish who chase them away and then it is one big gulp on the bait and a steady swim away. Once the rod loads then a sweep in the opposite direction will allow the hook to bite in the side corner of the mouth. Most fish brought to the boat are hooked next to the whiskers on the corner and a twitch of the pliers will allow a water release in most cases. This rig has caught Cats up to 64 lbs by myself with no downside that I have found. A second question asked is which Cat are you fishing for is whether or not they like live bait over dead bait. Channel cats below 10 lbs prefer dead baits but over 10 lbs a 5 inch wounded chub is a meal fit for a king. If I am fishing for flatties then it is live bait all the way and the softer soft finned fish are first choice. The Blue Cats are dead bait from small to record size as long as it is fresh fresh fresh. Art
  8. This may help clear it up it is a quote from the rules of OFC. We would prefer that you do not post pictures of fish caught out of season. Please do not post VERY SPECIFIC information on fishing spots, ie pinpoint locations and maps. It is our belief that sharing this type of knowledge to the general public is not at all good for the resource itself. When communicating info on spots, please keep it to email or a PM. Past this point use common sense if their is a landmark in the background then crop or blur it out. Most of the fish I take photos of are boat side with the water as the background it saves on the smart comments and nitpicking that some people will reward you with. Keep in mind if you get the odd smart comment and the majority of comments are positive then consider it a winning post and ignore the few. Art

  16. Honestly no the sale price of a boat is the price you and a stranger agree on to complete the transaction. If you would not buy the boat for that amount then a stranger will not be willing to pay that amount. If you are talking trade in then you will really take a bath on the deal. Buy the boat you want to keep for years to come would be a better train of thought. Art
  17. A 1" x 3" strip of belt leather folded over... hold one end and draw it thru a few times and the heat and friction will straighten it out. If you have over night then clip a 3 oz sinker to it and let it hang. Art
  18. The water supplied to the toilet is the same water provided to all of the fixtures in the house. You should check the tank to see if it has a chlorine tablet in the tank. If you find one their pick it up and trash it do not try to flush it thru to the bowl. If the tank is clear then take a rag and hot water and wipe down the toilet completely front and back around the base I mean everywhere. The water saver flusher is not causing the odor so you can disregard that as a piece of the puzzle. Since you don't smell the odor in the tank we can disregard the water as the culprit. The final area to look for is anywhere around the toilet like a deodorizer block behind or stuck under the tank (remember you wiped down the toilet completely right )or the window sill etc. Art
  19. I have fished for them all my life but we call them (sac-a-lait) as a kid down in Louisiana but in Virginia they call them Crappie. Art

  24. Brian take the time to smell the roses every once in awhile. It is a balancing act for sure right now with the work being so feast or famine. I have found that sometimes just a half a day off like a Friday or Monday is enough to let me get my mind back into the game. Hopefully you will get the help you need but until then take the steps needed to keep your health and sanity. Art
  25. Thanks for the contest Cliff. Art
