  1. Craigslist is the best place to find a boat just remember it has it's share of scammers. Art
  2. I find the hand controller to be easier to steer while fishing. I have a electric wireless and you touch the foot or hand controller and you don't know if it will move slightly or a whole 20 degrees. I got fed up with it and made an adapter and hand lever to make it run on and off and speed control on the foot controller the direction is now movable with you foot or leg while fishing. It also allows you to stand on both feet equally while fishing so no more tired leg from supporting you all day. Art
  3. If they do it the same way up North as we do Down here. They read the water in and the waste water is calculated by the water meter reading. Waste water can not be read thru a turbine unit due to the solids the only technology that reads waste water is a "ping" unit and are very expensive. We have a system if you have water irrigation they put in a separate meter in the house then deduct it from their meter and multiply it by the sewer fee. Hope this helps Art
  4. It is not what you can tow it is what you can safely stop. You can get into a wreck as soon as you back out of the driveway distance to the water does not matter. It is either safe or it is foolish. Art
  5. Aww shoot man that's to bad on the setback. I'm glad to hear you are getting the help needed to get back on your feet though. Art
  6. The mighty cliff retire .... :rofl2: I think it is his 4th time retired if I am not mistaken Go get em Cliff. Art
  7. That's a shame Terry I use both gas and diesel and when I use the Gas Buddy app. on my Iphone it can save me quite a bit. We have places that are less than 30 miles apart and can find up to .40 cents difference. So far I have not had any major price differences between the pump and the app. less than .05 cents which I guess might be because they changed the daily price after it was posted. If you are finding this as an issue in an area report it they can track the person that makes the wrong price input and remove them from the reporting list. Art
  8. The lodges usually have testimonials from their customers. What I do is look at the sites and after finding the price and location then post on the board for actual people that have been their. Art
  9. While the contest is over you can still like OntarioFishingNetwork It will keep you up to date on all of the cool things T.J. is involved with and gets you the E Mag with lots of fishing news. I think it would be a great way for us to thank him for putting up over $500.00 for us to win. Thanks again T.J. your a bud for sure. Art
  10. You can do a little research on many of the area up north here Ontario Fishing Network. The reviews are honest and links to the site by area are there. Art
  11. So let me sum this up Roy..... they are fishing..... Wow our homeless down here where it is warm just ask if you got a dollar. What an amazing world we get to live in day by day. Art
  12. The warranty industry for auto repairs is huge and for only a few is it a smart purchase. First off remember they are their to make money so they are written to make sure they make a profit over the long run. They have analyzed all classes of vehicles and then set a general profitable price plus what the dealer will make on the transactions. If you can take the $1900.00 and put it into a bank account and not touch it then you will get the money back plus interest in a few years. The warranty does not cover the maintenance issues that you will have throughout the life of the truck so it does not count towards using the $1900.00. I have a Nissan Titan that has a price tag of $6000.00 to replace the transmission I then did my homework and found that their was less than 1:1000 chance of it being the one that would fail and be covered by a warranty. I did not purchase the warranty and it would have expired last year I am $2400.00 plus interest richer. Art
  13. You got my support Cliff, A case in point is the makers of MOEN faucet that treat me and all of my customers like they are gold. I know they have a big plant up in Canada and also in the United States. They have sent parts and whole faucets to customers after I'd found a defect or an issue on the unit using their lifetime product warranted. Art
  14. I hope that your helper feels better soon. I have no constructive info to give you because of the lack of ice down here. When it is all said and done the joy of the build should be cherished as much as the time spent using it. Art
  15. Now that's a great Birthday present a day and Meal with Roy and Jay. Art
  16. I guess this means if I am going to get my bucket list done I better hurry up since to fish with both of them is on it. Happy Birthday to the two legends. Art
  17. Thanks for the well wishes Marc we also wish the same for you and the people in your life. Art
  18. The unit can't be safely converted to propane the orifices are larger for butane. The unit I have I use to melt lead in a small lead ladle and it seems that if you don't have a pan or pot on it the heat does not warm up the butane tank and the flame gets weak as the can gets colder. I usually have to warm up the canister with my leather glove to get the flame back up higher. I guess if you keep a pot of water on it it will work and also add humidity to the hut. A minor concern also is it does not have a low oxygen cut off. Art
  19. I have read and decided to leave it up it seems Glaucus has a issue with our (Mod's) integrity I feel rather their is a problem with his attitude. If he decides to take it to P.M. with the person he feels has "wronged society" then we will reevaluate this thread. Art
  20. Iphone 3 is my current phone and I am very happy with it. Art
  21. A good recap as usual Dan thanks for the memories. Art
  22. I'm getting tired of watching this it's been 45 minutes and he still hasn't caught a fish yet. Art
  23. Yes I did spell it wrong... It is my favorite go to bait when I fish saltwater. The Cuba part if the USA could forget the past we might be lucky enough to go to that wonderful place some day. I have fished both Jamaica and the Bahamas so II'm pretty sure the tactics will work their there as well. Now how do I submit this to Roy to spell check this thing. Art Thanks for having my back Roy
  24. Shore casting nothing beats a sabrinkisabinki sabiki rig for bait and a 6 oz sinker and hook to cast the bait back out further. A silver casting spoon works well too. Art
