Love it...!!!

I am on Cameron Lake and I was stopped and checked 5 times this past boating season, 3 by the OPP and 2 by the MNR. That is more checks than the previous 30 plus years combined. I hope they are doing the same job out on the ice, that they do in the nice sunny weather.

I have an Aqua-view 360 with the 4 cameras. It works great on Simcoe when you have 4 guys with 8 lines down the big hole. Only problem is the 50 foot cable does not let you go deep.

I am down on the bay 3-4 times a week from now till ice out. I only fish once a week or so though. I just go down with the dog, to reconnoitre. Say hi if you see me and the dog, a very friendly Golden Retriever, named Oakley.

Last year I was on Frenchmans Bay to see personally, some fishermen caught.. a 40 inch pike, a 4 lb rainbow , a 12 inch crappie, a 5 lb bowfin and the usual perch and white bass. These were not all on the same day, but they were all in 2016, on the ice.

I must say that I have never had a problem ordering things from TSC online, and having them ship it to their Uxbridge store. Always there on time, and what I ordered.

With no walleye will anyone fish Scugog this winter? Will you?

You pass over many creeks and rivers that hold salmon between Oakville and Port Hope,( Highland, Duffins, Bowmanville, Willmot, etc.) you do not have to drive the full 90 minutes.

My Golden Ret. 2 years ago , found and ate a roe bag on shore with the hook still in it. Off to the vet and the x-rays showed the hook and 3 sinkers on the line, in the picture of her stomach. A $ 2600.00 operation later and the hook and sinkers were removed. Now when I stream fish I have to scout around and pick up all the crap left behind by other fisherpeople before I release the dog.

I will always find time to fish, between bear and deer stalking.

Oh by the way, no walleye caught but Muskies were on fire.

Cameron Lake was 19 this past Monday after being 21 last Friday, it is dropping every night.

X2 on the JB weld, 6 years later and it is still holding on, not bad for a 10 buck fix.

Why , good fisherpeople head towards markers they indicate shoals , rocks and variations in depth that fish like.
