  1. I haven't smelt anything yet. I mean, rotting boots of course.
  2. Get that amazing net wet Will! I heard rumblings of dredging bottom off the mouths wrking well recently.
  3. If the cookie monster gives it a thumbs up, its gotta be good.
  4. Dark coloured baits are the norm. Something the fish can shilouette against. i.e. when the frog deal is on, try a black pop r, spook jr , or frog bait right up shallow to the shorleine. It's a blast. I am super pumped to try the new mini live target frogs for the walters soon.
  5. Mikie, just kidding around, I find'em funny, and no, there is no other word you nailed it. tb4me, fish the same areas you would in daylight but use faster baits. Reason being the walleye will be out cruising more as their eyes will not be as sensitive inthe low light. Also, very soon is the frog migration, top water walters is a blast at night.
  6. Now there's an oxymoron. Night is my Fav time for jerking up giant eyes. They are in the same water you get them at dusk, I give them a couples hours to "adjust" and then they will eat. Usually head out a couple hours after pitch dark. Works for me anyways. I like to target the deep weed edges.
  7. If I had a small fire and roasted a hot dog or two on the pier, would I be charged with fishing from the pier?
  8. Good for you Skinny. Grab the bull by the horns, because no one know else is going to do it for you.
  9. HaS THeerwe benen anny AfTerShoCks?
  10. 7 dollars a piece I heard. 4th hand.
  11. Jesee, I did the same thing in '05. I have ZERO regrets. The only thing I would do different is to actually get married here, at City hall and do a mock ceremony there. We went the the RIU in the Mayan and loved it.
  12. There's a Lew post for ya, been a while. Guatanteed good fish, details of the techniques, a scenery shot and no smile. Glad to see your got into them and shared with us Lew. But, your full of bird droppings, evening bite? your in bed by 3:30pm to be up at Lew oclock. Nice try.
  13. Greg, go fish'n buddy. You've got the basics down. Don't over think it, you'll dail it in and figure out the angles and pressure to use through experience. Now go dredge bottom and hook up a derby winner. Good Luck
  14. There are not many strikes that can compare to a big chinook smoking a dipsy in open water in mid August.
  15. I won an ugly pewter cowboy belt buckle in the emerald ilse tournie one year, it is now our annual prize for the boys weekend. The winner gets the belt for the year and the right to wear throught-out the year at other get togethers to rub it in. Also, the champ does not have to do dishes while they hold the belt, ever.
  16. Your friend is right. It is a crap shoot with big fish. Try and turn the boat if you can, gear down the best you can. There is really not much else to do. Also, if the bigguns are going to run, they are going to run, there is no slowing them until they choose to.. I am talking the 35+ fish. Just know you are not alone. There are many derby winning fish hooked up this time of year that are still swimming.
  17. Good for you Ron, when this is all done, can we go to Rice again?
  18. I liked the Nonofil, not a huge fan of white line, but it preformed ok. Some folks really like it, I had a couple customers load up on it.
  19. Well written Gary. On the nose. I still get professional overrides here and there,
