  1. David, try this website. Visit My Website
  2. TJ, if you've ever hunted for wild boar, you could put up a sign that says "Boss Hog"!
  3. Mike, at that time of year on the Bay, you can expect to catch mostly Pike and they will still be in transition from shallow to deep water. Weeds will be forming then but still down deep.
  4. How about King Web's Boardroom?
  5. Lunker, like everyone else is saying, the motor is probably scrap and should not be factored into the price. Judging by the amount of paint missing where the cowl sits, the engine has been opened up one too many times for various problems and likely run with the cover off more than once! The boat is extremely heavy and could not be handled by one person and definitely will not ride well in any kind of swell. It is also too big for the trailer and a mis-match. I would keep looking, otherwise you are going to end up with a money pit. Remember that when you are out on the water, particularly the Great Lakes, you want a reliable motor above all else. That does not look anything like a reliable motor to me.
  6. Gerritt, I had the same problem with my dog when she was a pup. I contacted the breeder who suggested teaching the dog the "Leave it" command. Once I taught the dog the command using training treats, I could walk her on a leash right up to dog poop and say "leave it". Should would immediately look to me for a reward, which I of course had! Eventually your dog will learn to leave the poop along because it becomes a "leave it" item.
  7. No it is power trim Wayne. It is only a problem a few times per year when I have extra people on board and the marina wants $100 to $150 to do it, so if I am not happy, then it will cost me $200 to $300. When I have 4 people in the boat it is not a problem.
  8. It is a 17 foot Legend with a 75 4 stroke Merc on the back.
  9. Has anyone here ever had their motor lowered on the transom to help with planing or boat balance? I have a bench seat across the back of the boat and when I have a few adults back there, the boat porpoises a bit and the trim is as far down as it can go, so I thought that lowering the motor might help with this. Right now the anti-ventilation plate sits about on inch above the bottom of the hull and I was thinking about having the marina lower the motor down one more hole. Feedback would be much appreciated.
  10. Okay FW, when did you join P3TA?
  11. Nice shots Brandon. Did you take any shots of the rock face itself? Have you photographed Shannon Falls? The old mining museum in "Sqeemish" was used in a couple of episodes of the X Files.
  12. I've used a free tool from here: Cedar Deck Design You have to register first, but it does work and gives you a materials list as well.
  13. Personally I think that less is more with your boat. Here are some thoughts for you: My number once consideration would be whether or not to change the motor over to a tiller as this will dictate the layout of the seating (console takes up allot of room) The boat is not long, so don't add too much high storage that will impede your ability to move around Keep any decking low so that the centre of gravity is not too high when standing up to fish (especially on a windy day) If you put in a live well, have it closer to the bow for ballast and balance (again great on a windy day) Lastly, you will need more base floor supports than you currently have. Good luck!
  14. Happy Birthday Wayne. I am peeling from the Florida burn!
  15. Life or money. That question would be a no brainer for me.
  16. You really need to pin down the year before you can put up an asking price. In the mean time, why don't you put masking tape over the decals and other non-paint areas and give her a couple of coats of paint to make her look better? Of course, you should sand down the paint chip areas first.
  17. a great post Wayne! There is no ice here on the Gulf of Mexico!
  18. What if I told you that I was going to the Leafs game tonight?
  19. Well here I am in St. Petersburg IN 85 degree weather reading about ice fishing posts back home. Well I've go to tell you that I am not missing the cold right now. I was swimming in the gulf today. The water was beautiful and warm! Spring is just around the corner.
  20. Hey ColdH2Oguy, do you know a guy in your town called Richard Shrivels? AKA Dick
  21. I've done it but what size and type of boat do you have? Do you know where you want to place it?
  22. Wayne, check out the shoals on that PM that I sent you using this site!
  23. Thanks for the site. The images are more up to date than Google Maps.
  24. I would suspect that there would be plenty of loose rivets if this is not a welded hull. If so, you should contact Wayne (Irishfield) for some advice as he does custom work on airplanes.
  25. Wayne, you are the luckiest bum alive! I am extremely jealous. I love trying to figure out the land forms without reading the captions like the shot of Present and Beuseile Island, then Giants Tomb later on. I sent you a PM with a summer time hotspot.
