Cast-Away

Hi gang. I remember reading here a few weeks ago about alternatives to using moth balls for boat storage. I can't stand the smell of the moth balls and have my boat stored in a barn. I need some alternative suggestions to keep Uncle Nester out of my boat! Thanks

Back in the 80's we used to use Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner on our fiberglass boat. We put it in a bucket and dipped in a broom and scrub a dub dub! I would test it on a small area first and perhaps delude it first.

The only private water I know of is just south of King's Bay on GBay. The Queen deeded it to The Tadenac Fishing Club back in the 1800's.

Wow what an amazing family trip bud! Your kids will remember that forever.It's the little things like the puppy, going ashore to fish, the plane ride and sitting on the wolves that usually stick in their minds. Mine are 16 and 18 now and often look back in this way. What a great Dad you are Solo!

I don't wish cancer on anyone having lost my own Father to it and hope that Jack fights through it. Canuck, There are 2 guys that live on 12 Mile and troll the mouth all of the time which tells me that they are catching fish.

My neighbours got one in the fall. The dog is friendly but like Jewlbee said, they don't like being left alone. They leave the dog in their backyard when they are in the house, and it does not stop backing until someone either comes out with the dog, or lets the dog into the house. I have a golden and would not recommend any other breed than this. They are very smart, and love people. They also make great fishing partners! My dog watches the lures come back to the boat to see if there is a fish on the line. She also watches the rod tip to see if I get a bit!

Unfortunately these nice folks are going out of business, but someone on this board was kind enough to point it out a week ago, so I snagged a 2 seater tube and knee board for $245 plus tax. We had our girls plus 3 other friends up on Kempenfelt all afternoon today enjoying the new toys! Thanks to someone on this board for the tip! I have bought and sold so many things here over the years from all of the great folks here!!!
