  1. Good for you Simon. I quick smoking cigs 28 years ago.
  2. Folks, Is anyone here a member of this site which I believe is based out of Saskatchewan? I was wondering if anyone reads this site? If so, are there many interesting things going on there? http://www.menoutdoors.com/forums/
  3. I think you neighbour saw Cougars. Mountain Lions aren't found in eastern Canada.
  4. Lakeside Sewing is in Bobcaygeon right beside Buckeye Marina on 36. She does really great work, even from scratch.
  5. Awenda in Penatang is quite nice with larger sites and a great beach. The beach is a 15 minute walk from the parking lot.
  6. Jeez, I work for a paper company and see a 4 to 6% decline every year in the commercial print market, it is a shame to see the government now participating in this arena. I predict that eventually there will be a leveling out between electronic media and good old fashioned print. Remember everyone that it is a 100% renewable resource. All North American Paper manufactures are very good forest stewards and replace more than they take. What is shameful in my industry is that a large portion of the manufacturing is now done in China with fibers supplied by North America. The Chinese mills are all subsidized by the government and truly not profitable. Walmart has done the same thing to the retail manufacturing sector in North America over the last 15 years. If you remember when they first came to Canada, the motto was made in the USA and made in Canada to a lesser extent. These ads quietly disappeared over time. Walmart is now one of the biggest importers of Chinese products into North America, so next time you need something, remember this. It is time that we all stand up and say that we want to buy products made in North America (shop NAFTA). i am sure that many members here have lost jobs to offshore manufacturing.
  7. Rizzo, I made a typo, the boat is 17'6" with a 75 4 stroke on the back. i am almost a foot too long with just the boat and motor excluding the trailer.
  8. I have a Legend which is 17 feet 3 inches long and will not fit in my garage which is the same size as yours. I found indoor storage for $50 per month.. I've see many negative postings on this board in regards to Tracker. Just watch this thread go crazy in the next day or so.
  9. It really is a great park. I have been going there since 1990. A tip for your next trip, bring an aluminum extension pole and a 2x2 that is a foot long and drill a hole in the middle to hold the tip of the pole. Put your picnic table in the centre of the tarp and put the pole in the middle. When it rains you have the perfect shelter!

  11. Cool video TJ, especially in black & white. It really gives it the old fashion feel!
  12. I remember seeing an extensive post from one of the members here about a iron man scavenger hunt contest to be held somewhere in Ontario in 2013 as a fund raiser but it seemed to have died off. Anyone recall anything? Is it still happening?
  13. Fish Logic, that is a great idea to have a separate card. I always check website security when buying anything on line before I type in any information. I've had 2 cards compromised in the past at two different no name gas stations. Needless to say, I stick to the major brands now.
  14. That was one sweet accident Joey!
  15. I drive the 400 every day and it always amazes me to see Smart Cars coming up and down from the north, especially in the winter time. These 3 cylinder vehicles were never meant for the highway amd certainly not on a daily basis. Sometimes they are being driven at 120 km/hour! From a safety perspective, I don't think that the survival rate would be too high at highway speeds. I saw one just today in the winter! Can you imagine the traction in a snow storm? What crazy things do you see during the daily commute?
  16. It takes a big man to keep beating someone who is not only on the ground but being held down by two others. They should all be ashamed of themselves. The 3 of them are bullies and cowards. Enough said.
  17. 6 year ago half of the replies here would have been 2 stroke, now 4 stroke is unanimous. Have a 1999 Merc 4 stroke on a 17' Legend and love it. I can easily pull 2 water skiers. Funny enough the chassis is Merc and the engine block is a Yammy.
  18. Try this site: http://www.cottagelink.com
  19. TJ you have to divide by two because Roy has viewed every post at least ten times as a mod!
  20. This should work now, I could not upload the link from my Ipad.
  21. Check out this beast from Russia.
  22. Funny how you ask for advice on only 3 specific vehicles, yet people still talk about others. People, read what Captain Pierre said. "Chevy Tahoe(used 2010-2012), Ford Expedition(used2010-2012), Toyota 4Runner(new)." Honda and Nissan were not on his short list!
  23. Don't forget to feed them beer. Because it is liquid they can consume it easily and stay happy! If you give them enough beer they will multiply every few weeks.
  24. GC, As mentioned above about the forestry industry by me, it is the most renewable resource in the world. I started in the commercial paper industry in 1981 and have enjoyed a great career all along the way. Yes paper use has been in decline since 2002 but there will come a leveling point. On the lumber side, there is steady growth each year. Our entire industry is now in a state of upgrading to new world wide environmental standards such as FSC standards. I think that you would enjoy a long steady career in my industry. Regards, Warren
