  1. I've got a big gravel driveway and use your method to control the weeds and your right, it works very well. Only difference with mine, I use a cup of regular table salt rather than epsom, and heat the vinegar before I apply it.
  2. As I mentioned in another thread, I just picked up a pair of Group 27 deep cycle Kirklands from Costco for $95 each. Never tried them before but lotsa guys around here like them so I figured I'd give em a go.
  3. Yeah, it never hurts as much if no one see's the screw up LOL
  4. I was by the gas station just a couple days ago and and there was a big tandem tanker filling the tanks, so I'm sure he had plenty on hand when the price sky-rocketed yesterday. Always amazes me too how prices are so different from place to place. We've been around $1.25 for awhile now while Toronto was around $1.39. Yesterday, our's went up .13 but Toronto only goes up .03. The radio says the jump has alot to do with what's happening right now in Iraq, but if that was the case, why wouldn't everywhere jump by the same amount ?? Perhaps it's time for me to start filling up over at the local Curve Lake reserve where it's a whole bunch cheaper .
  5. I was listening to a Toronto radio station today and they said the city would hit an all time high gas price today of....I think....$1.41.9 and it's expected to go even higher in the near future.
  6. After the last 11 years, this Liberal win is just hard to understand.
  7. Sure looks like fun times Rick with alot of good fishing too.
  8. I think Bancroft is usually one of the cheapest places around
  9. I went into town this morning and saw the price of gas was at $1.25.9 just as it has been for the last week or so. Came home an hour later and saw where it jumped to $1. 38.9 Interesting how they'll jump the price up 13 cents per litre but they never drop it by 13 cents. Good to know though that our government says everything is on the up & up.
  10. And even with 50 odd years experience backing boats into the water, you WILL occasionally forget to remove those darned transom straps....believe me
  11. I just purchased a pair of Group 27 Kirkland deep cycle batteries from Costco for $95 each. Never used Kirklands before but lotsa guys have said their good so I'm gonna try them.
  12. Wife and I will be doing our part in a couple hours as we always do, hopefully this time it'll work.

  15. Always possible it died during the fight which is quite common if the angler was using light gear and took a long time to land it. But as you say though, nothing illegal if was kept on purpose.

  17. The last Guest I bought was back in '99 Mike and I got it from West Marine in Toronto but I have no idea if they still carry them or even if they'd ship you one.
  18. Get yourself a Guest charger Mike, their excellent.
  19. Perhaps if you tell the bass guys where you live, or where you'd like to fish the tourney's, it'd make it easier for them to recommend something.
