  1. It was nice to see you Dave. You're really git'in her done with the effort you put into everything you do.
  2. You've never smelt a smelt that smelt like the smelt I smelt. Glad you guys had a great day with a nice feed to boot!
  3. Yes, I think we have that covered.
  4. Glad you had a good time, Cram.
  5. I guess we don't all see these shows the same way. I think we're all pretty well equipped to save a few bucks buying our favourite gear either online or finding a retailer close to home who can give you a deal. Exhibitors/vendors, need to take stock out of inventory, cart it to the venue, pay for the displays, the square footage they're using up and hire help for the show. Cutting their prices is not going to help them much. I don't know where folks get the idea that the shows is where you get good deals. It's never been that way. I can't figure someone paying $14 to get into a show, not to mention gas prices to get there and back to save $10 bucks on plastics....never could figure that out. I drove down from the other side of Montreal for the one day. I knew there was no money to be saved at all but that wasn't my reason for making it to the show. I was there to meet old friends and see new faces as well. There were some excellent seminars. My sons and one of my grandaughters were there as well. So, I had a really good experience at the show and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. PLUS, I got to have a really nice chat or two with Joey...and a hug even. That's worth the trip right there!
  6. Great catch WD. Thanks for sharing.
  7. You can get them from guys like Aikman's. The part number you need is RD12300 Spool Assembly.
  8. Great report TJ. Lots of recognizable faces in there.
  9. The French dude is a window dresser.
  10. Sorry to hear of your loss, Tinman. My condolences to you and your family.
  11. Thanks for the pics Hon. I might have one or two to add tonight when I get home.
  12. If it moves, it's food. Jailbirds don't look like anything indigenous to our waters either but they catch fish. Contrast is correct, as is motion, speed and sound (vibration). In my very humble opinion.
  13. Yeah TJ, where are the pics? Just bringing it to the top here.
  14. Don't blame her, Mykester. Some people are not cut out to do what they do for a living. Have you considered that? Perhaps she couldn't find work in her field...as a cow.
  15. A really good post Dan! A few more people should read it and try to understand what it could mean to them.
  16. As some of you know, I bought a 2010 Corolla in August 2009. It's J's car and she has put a total of 2189 kms on it since then. I wasn't sure I was affected by the recall but I assumed I was. As soon as I had heard that the recalls and repairs were to start, I called the dealer, booked an appointment...no waiting, it was handled very efficiently at Duval Toyota in Boucherville. I drove the car to the dealership and they drove me home. Two hours later, they called me back to say that the car was ready and that if it was ok with me, they'd pick me up to drive me to the dealership to pickup the car. They arrived on the dang minute they said they would...drove me to the dealership...I walked in, they gave me the certificate and my keys, told me which number parking spot I was at and I was on my way. Absolutely painless and scary efficient. I'm a happy dude... ESPECIALLY that it's J's car and I know that I don't have to worry. Did I say they washed the car too? Good stuff.
  17. Yup, you're right with that Terry. I guess I was thinking out loud and not too clearly.
  18. Where in the US are they made? Their own plant or labeled by someone else? Just curious.
  19. I haven't looked but I wonder if there's a place where people who are charged are named. I think that getting your name plastered everywhere would be one heck of a deterrent. I know that not all people who are charged are guilty but it sure would make people think twice.
  20. I can probably help clarify that for them. The number they're looking for is TWO!
  21. And as the saying goes...silence is golden and duct tape is silver.
  22. You'd better leave now then eh? See ya tomorrow.
  23. Had you caught more fish you wouldn't have needed to catch all those taters. Fine catch, Steve and Kelli.
  24. I have 5 kids.....mostly in their 40's now and 11 grandkids. The average age for kids in the US to leave home now is 34. If you think teething is bad news, try finding Halloween costumes for your 30 year olds every year.
  25. Dave, Art is living with goats and chickens.....I certainly hope there's no population spike.
