  1. I suspect that more than a few in the community who answer yes to the poll have no choice as they're working manning a booth for their association, lodge/outfitter or employer.
  2. WOW! Heavy duty clip for sure. I'll pick up one of those as well.
  3. Yes, I always have a crochet hook onboard....I thought it could be useful just in case. I've never had to use it but you never know when I might get an urge to make a shawl or a doily or something.
  4. I don't know where I went wrong but I have never had a problem with baitcasters. Go fishing with someone who uses baitcasting reels regularly. In closing, may I add, Be one with the reel, Glasshoppah.
  5. One of the greatest fishing ambassadors in Canada for sure.
  6. I'm sure that Scott Golden is laughing his azz off.
  7. That's normal stuff, Julie. For the next two weeks, starting tomorrow, we'll be seeing bad stuff happening. No one likes it but it's the way it is.

    Wow Hoo!!!

Oh hell yeah. Nice fish for sure!
  9. Outta the bunch of pickerel, at least one of them was a walleye.
  10. AHHHHHHHH That'll buff right out!
  11. Between $100 and $5,000. or more. What do you want installed and on what?
  12. I first met Jack several years ago at Beans and Maribeth's house on Pigeon Lake. It was a great visit and I had a wonderful time with the likes of Big Cliff, Pigeon Fisher, Lew and of course Jack. Well, on the 7th of this month I received an email from Jack which read: Hi Roy, Been having a problem with backaches since mid January. I mentoin this to my Eurologist, who immediately sent me for a Catscan. It shows that my Cancer is on the move again and got into my Pelvic and lower backbone. Hence the aching.Apparently it built up an immunity to the drug I've been having for 2 yrs. Apparently, people with this kind of cancer have an average of 2-3yrs as there is no cure as yet. I go for a bonescan on Mon. then on to chemo to slow it down a bit. Sorry to load you up with this, but thought I'd let you know befor the 'grapevine' started up LOL, Hope all is well at your end, see you at L'air. Jack I didn't post this to the board out of respect for Jack and Jackie's need for privacy. I've since been forwarded an email from Beans (Norm) and here it is: Norm, I dont mind who you want to tell about me, the more it's in the open the easier to handle. Never did like secrets LOL. I was going to put it on the 'Board, but did'nt want anyone think i'm looking for sympathy. Ah well, crap happens. As an update; after reading up on Chemo and getting lots of info from the hospital, I've [we] have decided NOT to go thro' with the Chemo. I'm told it wont cure it, only slow it down. With all the negatives, destroying good blood cells, open to any infections going around, weakness, tiredness [ sounds like HIV dont it] and on a 3 week cycle for the rest of my natural, we dont think its worth it. Sooner live a short time having fun, than a bit longer being miserable. There is another Hormone treatment thay we have to talk with the Doctor about, so we will go from there. Not the best of new's but we will make the best of it. Will you pass this along to Cliff as he wants to be kept up to date. Cant wait for the soft water fishing to start again TTYL.........Jack So, whether you know Nanook or not, please, please offer a prayer to help him and Jackie get through this. If you don't pray, no worries, a positive thought will go a long way to making things better for them. Jack, please know that I will help in any way I can to help you through this. I'm having trouble with words here Jack. Just know that your extended family will do what they can. Be well. Roy And yes, I WILL see you at Lakair in June.
  13. Faculty of fishing might also want to look into any copyrights on the tune they're using on the site. Ray Carrignan has been using that tune for his shows since 2000 and the entire show is held under copyright.
  14. My faculty of fishing is right here.
  15. I guess no one wants to be the first to buy him his depends eh?
  16. Mine's a Cooper's, Mike...I can't ID yours but there are lots of folks here who should be able to. And to the others, I wasn't in my neighbour's yard....I was in mine, two yards away.
  17. We had an E-Mag booth there a coupla years ago Ron. I'd like to see your pic of this one though!
  18. WTG Paul! After all the bad stuff happening and still remembering to take a pic with the tourney sign...all I gotta say is that you're real trooper. And what a fatty that is! A whitie is key in this tourney.
  19. Was out in the yard this morning and caught a glimpse of a large bird out the corner of my eye. it landed two neighbours' yards down. Got the camera...kneeling in the slush, poking through a cedar hedge. OK, enough excuses, it's a bad shot. It was having breakfast.....rodent under claw.
  20. Thanks for that Ron. Glad it's being talked about and not thrown on a back burner.
  21. You bought a new panino recently didn't you Doug? Highly irregular to see someone making a gweech on a panino. Do you make the gweeches on white or black? this panino is a Calabrese Grande you say?
  22. WTG Frankie. A really nice familly fishing report with super pics! You're certainly doing it right for the young'ns. Thanks for taking the time to post.
  23. Man oh man! That's one heck of a haul of burbot. the very best day I've ever had with them is TWO and they were smaller than yours. And yes, best freshwater fish there is for the table. I don't understand people not liking them because of how they look but don't bat an eye eating oversized crustaceans that look like cockroaches from hell. Thanks for the report and super pics.
  24. Beauty pike Thom and a yummy breakfast for sure. Thanks for the report and fine pics!
  25. Fantastic report Joey! Good weather, good friends and good fishing. PERFECT! Some really fine pics there too! What time is supper?
