Sorry to hear that Chris, happened to me years ago, felt like someone had stabbed me in the heart, what a feeling, can't explain. Your van will never feel the same if they recover it.

Wouldn't waste my time if I could go fishin. -
Good one Chris Can't believe they sell Big Head Carp. Crap I guess it must taste OK. Could be a bad thing if someone likes it. Mite get some trying to stock their own lake. Just noticed $8.80 a kg.

Funny Rich, I'll tell you a story, it's true. A friend of mine was at 50 PT. fishing and fell asleep in his chair. When he woke up, someone had stolen his net he had on the ground behind him. True story, I don't think it was a seagull

OPP Warning people to stay off the ice. as its thin...
Fish Farmer replied to jedimaster's topic in General Discussion
They already did near Virginia Beach Craig.. I kinda blame the Township and the OPP because they ticketed people for parking on the road for more than 3 hours. It forces people to take a chance. Not saying it's right, but it's human nature. Residents have to get used to people ice fishing Simcoe, they don't own the lake. It's like the city folk move to the country and complain about the manure smell. Politicians don't care about fisherman, but when they want money to build big arenas for hockey it's OK because thats their sport. We, us sport fisherman are trash idiots Just saying -
Congrats Mike, should make some good read. Sorry to hear about your uncle but I'm sure he'll like to see the article, It'll make his day. I think I'll mention about your article at our next club meeting.

Very nice, I own a Ford but I'm a Chev man, I have to admit. Nice color.
-
They only make one Truck, "Ford" the rest are trying hard But I've had a few repairs, got to tell the truth. Don't touch the 5.4, good motor but I've herd some night-mares about trying to change the Plugs. Plus the tires are 18" very expensive Mines a 5.4

Boys at the Legion were happy, gave them a meal after I filleted Walk was brutal, we left around 4:30. Schools of Perch came in and left and back again. Lots of Hearing. Some I kept were small but I wanted a good feed for the boys. I find the smaller are better eating. Terry, your closer than me to Simcoe, I think I'd be there more often. But that could be a bad thing if you know what I mean. Boy I hate that drive home. Was thinking of going again this week, but I don't about the weather, or my body You gave me an idea Roy, Salted or smoked Caplin comes to mind. Don't tell Brian Was just nice to get my fix for a day, now tomorrow, is another story. Better get out Joey, hope the ice holds for us. Those mild temps could make for a short season. Just be careful. I may get back this week. I'm thinking the same, could be a short season. I saw some Perch down the hole that were looking for you bro. Get your aress in gear bro, may see ya out dare. I'll trade ya for some of those pokadots Jacques

We set up about a 100 yards from one of the Gray huts, I think they were Casey's huts. Lots of portables near us. We had 22' of water, we could see bottom no problem. My buddy caugt 2 Herring and released, there was lots around.
-
Their was 3 of us, we help each other pull our huts up the hill. we had 2 flip overs and 1 sled. I backed my truck over to the hill to load. I was parked across the street at the soccer field, Dark blue Ford FX4 Crew with a cap. You may have talked to my buddy that got to the hill before us, we were lagging behind him. Was glad to get back to the truck, tied out. Slept good that night. We take FRS radios and I go scouting for the fish, call the guys when I find them. I guess we should have said Hi, next time. May see you guys there again.

Couldn't care less if they got rid of NHL, bring back real hockey "CHL", all Canadian hockey. Make it so people can afford to go and take their kids.

3 of use hit the ice yesterday off Bolster. Walk out was brutal, ice was rough from being broke up and refroze. We moved about 6 times till we found them. Lots of people out, even Steve's fish huts had his huts out. Holes we drilled had anywhere from 4 to 6".Buddy and myself, limited, other bud 20. Caught all my fish on micro jig and Perch eye. I started with a Gulp Maggot, soon I got a keeper, eye went on. My 2 buds wanted minnows, so took them to Casey's. Can't teach old guys new tricks they just had to have their minnows. Word of warning, it was slushy near shore, with the mild temps coming, watch yourself. I saw lots of machines out yesterday, NOT this Cat, to risky. Did the head count around noon, 35, through lots of dinks back. Few in the picture were 12 to 13"

Hope to have a Simcoe report tomorrow.
-
For Perch, 3Lb test with micro jig and a Perch eye. Be using that in the morning on Simcoe.
-
Mike, I have the same truck and year. Last night I couldn't start mine, turned over slow and nothing. Looks like I have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. Just wondering what make I should buy. The one that's in my truck is the original.
