OFAH has been plauged by controversy in the past, but it was a post by Ron that made me renew my membership. I recieved a "New member" kit last year in the mail, for Christmas (I hope, Christmas doesn't offend anyone). I couldn't resist renewing, after reading what they are doing for fishing and Ron. Just my take on things.

This is exactly what I did and it worked out good. We were both happy with the end result.

The real world's not so tough. I back out of driveway, clipped the nieghbours car. Go over and let him know. No big deal. So I thought. He gets quotes of $2000 plus for repair. I say sorry, but I'm not paying that, take it to your insurance company. We exchanged info (at this point I said I would pay his deductible). Guess what, he got car fixed and he didn't have to pay any deductible. Good for me. I also reported it to my insurance company. No increase in premiums or anything. We were both happy with the way it worked out.

Not sure about fishing tackle, but a friend of mine was laid-up after a hernia operation and did all his christmas shopping there (online). Everything arrived as it should have, gift wrapped and all.

Glad the dog woke you. Triva, dogs will smell smoke in thier sleep and wake a person up, people will not wake up in a smoke filled room. One reason I always keep, at least one dog in the house.

I was having trouble figuring out how your dead batteries could cause this problem, since most T'stats are powered from the furnace 24V (battery backup). How could your furnace have power and not the 'stat. Your 'stat is probably not hard wired to your furnace. It may be one of them damned wireless things. It concerned me that you said you turned the furnace off and it still ran. There is a gas valve that you can close upstream of the furnace and there is a power switch somewhere that you turn off (these are gas code things). If you do not have a wireless thermostat, you have a definite problem and your safety may be at risk.

There are ways out. One of them, that took me by surprise; a guy said it was against his religion, he was a Christian and it was against his religion to place judement on someone. Judge said "Go sit down".

Here's a tip; while cruising around the area you're interested in, ask a police officer where the good places are.

Just finished a 4 day trial. No compensation from Union, Employer, or Gov., until day #10. It was a very interesting process. Glad to have done it. There is some very interesting stuff available on the "net" about Jury's. Watch "12 Angry Men", sometime.

If this is the place on Spanish River, have to take the "Bud Car", etc., I was going to go there this past spring. No bad reports on cabins and some have got bored fishing, as it was no problem catching fish.

.......for several types of material spills, etc., the "Solution is Dilution". Hahaha It is what it is, done now. I personally feel that once you brought it to their attention, they started to deal with it. Short of thousands of dollars worth of 'Oil Only' absorbing pads and socks, they used the Dilution Solution. They'll think before the next time. edited for spelling

Hell, win or not, I'm seriously considering this place. It's a "Bucket List" sort of thingy. I disovered this place through a fella by the name of "Denny Crane". No, I'm not, knowingly, going to expire anytime soon. Having said that, I'm flying out to Longview Alberta next month to see an iconic, singer/songwriter, before he passes or I do. Basically, he'll be playing in his backyard. His ranch is just down the road. Again, it's a "Bucket List" sort of thing. Next, would be to get myself a damned good rabbit dog, something that might actually place in a fied trial. Hahaha

Not sure about the fishing there (notice I'm "Nofish4me"). Silver Lake P.P. is a great park. See lots of people fishing, not sure what they're catching.
