  1. No idea what kind of boat you have, but any access in transom area should have a seal of some sort. Look to make sure no "o" rings are missing, make sure that any live well piping isn't leaking, etc..
  2. Ok, but have you actually ever used that thing? hahaha Nice setup.
  3. Be careful if you refill 1 lb propane cylinders, using an adapter. Hahaha BBQ and boat, just be careful and mindful of what could catch fire. I cooked beef ribs on a portable BBQ, that was on someones tailgate. Standing in a motel room at the Hungry Bear, enjoying a beverage, looking forward to the beef ribs (lots of fat) I happened to notice everything was on fire, BBQ, tailgate, parking lot, etc. Lots of fat on them things. Got all flames extinguished and no damage to anything, just the grease that was on fire.
  4. Propane is a great, efficent refrigerant, ever wonder why it's not used in the domestic market appliances? There is a reason. Funny thing about this thread, Papa Smurf, hasn't disputed anything I posted. Wonder why?
  5. You've never seen the results of a cylinder going hydraulic. "compared to how many houses explode due to natural gas ....still one of the safest ways to heat a house.." Natural gas is not safe at all, it's the way it's handled that makes it safe. Following codes and laws with it's use, so you won't have a problem. Same thing applies to the propane tank thingy. That's all.
  6. I sold a 1960 14' Thornes a few years ago for $500. No dents, no leaks and in mint condition for a boat it's age. It included original 10hp Johnson (1960) in working order. It was strictly advertised by word of mouth. The kid that bought it started to dicker with the price and I told him it was $500, if he was planning on giving me any less, I would take it to Zubick's for scrap. Done deal. I was glad to basically, give someone their first boat, ever. He got all equipment, anchor, etc.,etc.(he didn't know that at time of purchase). Set a value that you would be happy with and make someone else happy at the same time.
  7. Advice: Get a bike. Having said that, only because it was what came to mind when I read the title, it looks good.
  8. [quote name='Randy from Sturgeon' Now that we have property and room for a bigger dog.. later this year we will be getting a large breed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonberger Randy Why get a larger one, just get more little ones.
  9. The "What if..." scenario, is something to keep in mind.
  10. " Snowshoe hare populations fluctuate cyclically about once a decade—possibly because of disease. These waning and waxing numbers greatly impact the animals that count on hares for food, particularly the lynx." - Quote from National Geographic. Now, Cottontail are different, no lack of them around here. I was out this morning and we had a 5 dog pack on the ground. The dogs tracked 3 different rabbits (had visual on 2 of them), for about an hour each. No hare in this area.
  11. Have you ever read the title on a thread and mentally formed a response, only to find out (after reading thread) your answer wouldn't apply. For instance, the topic "2 Greys" with pictures, I half expected to see pictures of Wayne and Roy. Then, there is the topic "Boat scum removal", my reply (before reading the posts), would have been to throw the buggers overboard. Anyone else formulate responses in thier head before opening topics?
  12. It's been a while, but finally got out and ran a dog.
  13. Interesting read. I know people that hunt Coyotes, can get several a season. They run large hounds with tracking collars, etc.. The dogs get about half. It's sure a different hunt. Sure are some miles put on, and chases can last hours.
  14. It's legal to kill coyotes now. What's all the interest?? Oh, I get it, someone might win something. Hahaha I chuckle (sort of) at the increased frequency with which the, Lost "Fluffy", posters show up at the local post office.

  17. The least expensive and least complicated that I could find was a unit made in Quebec. The only drawback, the furnace fan needs to circulete for this to work. http://www.venmar.ca/AirExchangeConceptPage.aspx
  18. Wiped off monitor........now I can see what I'm typing. Been a rough winter, around the home alot, tuff running dogs that are less than 13" at shoulders, this winter. I'm spoiled with 4' thick ice for ice fishing, so I have a long drive, or stay home (bugs the wife, I'm begining to think).
  19. I've never thought much about it before, but maybe the wife enjoys my time away from home, runnin' dogs and fishin'. Hahaha
  20. I know what you mean. If I was to say I was good to go, there would be no "ask the wife", I would tell her when I was not going to be home. I was this way before being married, fishing and some absence from her is who I am. She seems to have stuck it out after 20 some years, I can't be that bad. Now, having said that, I will always consider what's on the calendar for family, before I set dates. I've had people ask me, "..how do you get away with going fishing as many times as you do..". There is no getting away with anything, going fishing is a major part of Who I am! I would love to go on this trip, but can't.
