I'll try and answer your questions. 1. The Nuvi250 is okay if it will allow you to navigate to a position "off road". You can use the device's autorouting capability to get you close to the cache then need to switch to off road or turn off navigation and watch the screen to monitor your progress to the cache. You will want a unit that is waterproof since it will be used outside the vehicle. 2. There are many different kinds of caches. You would likely want to start off with a "traditional" cache that provides the actual location of the container. Follow your GPS to the posted co-ords and start looking around. The cache will likely be tucked away so as not to be discovered by a non-geocacher. Some hiders can be quite creative in their hiding methods! 3. Inside you should find a logbook. You sign this logbook then decide if you wish to trade for an item in the cache. The cache may also contain "trackable" items (such as travel bugs or geocoins) that you may pick up to move to another cache. When you go home you logon to www.geocaching.com and log your visit and any trackables that you picked up or dropped off. 4. If you have a supported GPS and the Garmin Communicator Plugin. As others have said make sure you are prepared to handle these toothy beasts! Last thing you want is a hook or tooth encounter while handling these slippery buggers that are known to be docile one moment then go berserk the next. Don't rush them. Try each if you can but if still undecided take the Honda. I have been using one the past two summers and have not had any issues.

I'm left handed and my first fishing experience was trolling for Salmon using a level wind with right hand retrieve. Early on I used a spinning reel with left hand retrieve. I would hold the rod with my left, cast then switch to hands to hold the rod and reel in the fish. Then I discovered the crank could be moved to the right side easily Been fishing comfortably ever since AND discovered that nobody want to use your stuff with the crank on the "wrong" side!!

If I'm fishing a know Pike lake and I don't feel like dealing with the snotty buggers than I fish EARLY. Pike like to sleep in so it seems - not much Pike action until 10-11am. My experience only - you may encounter different results.

Look on the bright side - if it does come back it won't need the window replaced or the body repaired from being "broken" into. Hope it works out for you.

Looks like you see now why I don't go to the Brock store unless I absolutely have to. TERRIBLE service, very difficult to deal with and usually don't have enough (or any) of the "best" items in the weekly flyer. Markham and Lawrence still had a manual auger, Jiffy power auger and shelter this morning (but had still not unpacked the 5 shimano Ice Fishing combos yet). Best approach is to surf the net Friday morning and contact any nearby store that "shows" the item that you want. If the sale price is on-line then it will be honored regardless of the sale date published on the flyer (unless you're shopping at Brock - but of course they won't have the item anyway). Ajax is a much, much better store.

Power auger at the Leslie & Lakeshore and Markham and Lawrence location. Markham and Lawrence also had a couple Frabill huts at $250 (as of late this afternoon). A sale of odds and ends with a number of ice fishing items but certainly not an ice fishing clearance. Sale is on for TWO weeks not one as reported previously. Good luck in getting what you seek.

Seems the only hut on for 1/2 price right now is the Frabill Trekker 2-Man (78-8092-8) $250. http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_...fromSearch=true You'd have to check to see who has one in stock.

I didn't want to say as much but the Brock store is rarely helpful - I avoid it as much as possible. The details are now on-line. Those looking for a power auger will be delighted to find the Jiffy model on for $263 (78-8328-0). Trick will be to find one in stock somewhere. A couple manual augers, one ice fishing rod and lots of Plano bags - among other items. Good luck to those hunting for a specific item.
