  1. In response to "aniceguy" I would be agreement with higher license fees IF they came with higher (much higher) fines for infractions. Obviously the higher fines would need to include additional CO presence and enforcement.
  2. Here is a recipe you can make the day before and refrigerate until needed - serve cold (couldn't be easier). Broccoli Cheese and Bacon Salad This broccoli cheese and bacon salad can be made with any cheese you like. If you don't want to make the dressing you can use any bottled variety. 3-cheese ranch is a good option. Ingredients: 1-2 bunches broccoli 1 cup shredded cheese-any kind 1/2 cup raisins 1/3 cup red onion 6-8 slices bacon 1/2 cup nuts or sunflower seeds Dressing: 1 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup vinegar 2-4 tbsp. sugar Fry bacon until crispy, crumble and set aside. Cut up broccoli flowerettes into bite-sized pieces, leaving just a little stem. Cut up enough for about 4 cups of flowerettes. Mix with cheese, onion, raisins and nuts. Add dressing, toss salad and refrigerate 2-3 hours. Add crumbled bacon and toss salad again just before serving.
  3. Beauty Pickeral! Welcome to the board.
  4. Ferguson can stay if he pulls of a LeCavalier for McCabe deal!
  5. Fantastic report Glen - and thanks for the tip on cooking the smaller crappie, gotta try it someday.
  6. That's a sweet deal! I checked on-line and it appears to be an unadvertised in store special. Wouldn't mind picking up one as a spare (can never have too many rods right?) Thanks for info.
  7. Is Cansfield listening to the concerns of Northerners over the spring bear hunt? 'nuff said!
  8. In with a roar and out with a whimper - fishing can be like that. Two nice fish though!
  9. Hey Terry, that's one powerful V6 hitting 120 MILES per hour! while towing the nitro
  10. Nice smallies and one Pike you slipped in
  11. Based on character - absolutely not! Based on hockey skills - absolutely yes!
  12. Yes the weather was crazy out there - was hoping for a little more breeze and overcast. We did not get the hail you mentioned nor the police inspection. Spent most of our time over towards the ferry. Thanks to everyone for their kind words - can't wait to get into a BIGGER PB!
  13. Invited by a friend to go Walleye or Perch fishing yesterday. Haven't had a shot at Walleye since the beginning of the year so opted for the longer trip to Quinte. Spend most of the day hiding under the cover from a little rain and washing lures. The day however was PERFECT as I got into a personal best 31" 10.5lb wally. A few boats were out but we didn't see much action. Upon returning I chatted with a visitor from NY that managed to find a dozen Sheephead - but no Walleye. Anyway here is the picture of the happy angler. Thanks for reading - hope everyone had a great weekend. Barnie
  14. I'm with tonyb - don't need the drive (on a specified date and time) for overpriced stuff - I really don't need right now.
  15. A catch like that certainly helps you forget all the 0 'fers. WTG.
  16. I don't know if I'd be happier with the slab crappies or the beauty wally. Great having a choice. WTG.
  17. Wow great catch you got there - what is your drying and pickling process?
  18. Hey 007, the winter ferry schedule DOES include service to Hanlans. It is only Centre Island that shuts down. Wards service is more frequent however. Great buckets you got there, I had heard they kept hitting up until the snow fall
  19. 7 acres and a tent vs. a cottage with a little lake frontage = no contest (I'd take the tent anyday)
  20. Nice report and delicious pictures, thanks for sharing. I hope to get out Sunday.
  21. When people know you have a crackberry they begin to expect an instant response. If the unit is turned off (and they don't get the immediate response) they assume that their message is being ignored. Can't go half way!
  22. Now that's a frying pan!! Great report.
  23. Might help Roy if you let us know what your expected use is going to be and what features you desire. Agree with most here that they are an awful chain to email. BUT if you feel lost when away from the computer they are a blessing. They don't call them crackberries for nothing you know. Comparable email devices from Palm, Motorola and HTC (using Windows Mobile OS) just don't get the same battery life as the Blackberry. Recent models are slimming down and have pretty good text recognition (keypad assigns two letters per). If you have any specific questions just let me (us) know. Cheers, Barn
