  1. Nice pics Joey, nothing says fall like salmon and trout in the river and leaves floating on the surface.
  2. Awesome fish, glad your persistence paid off.
  3. Thanks for the report, nice view overlooking your fire pit.
  4. Thanks for the report. What an adventure. Those are fascinating pictures of the Beckwith cabin. The guy was quite a builder. That carving on the facia is really cool.
  5. A great moment for the two of you. Nice fish and picture.
  6. Nicely looking bird. You should start your own fishing/cooking show. "Toons and Spoons"?
  7. Its too bad so many people are too cheap and lazy to go to the landfill. The plies of shingles next to the credit river, off quarry rd, south of 24 come to mind and the garbage left next to the dumpster at mountsburg.
  8. Nice fish dutch.
  9. That's a beautiful animal. I've never been able to get that close to one. Where in the park did you take the picture?
  10. The eye is a meal in its self
  11. Nice Walleye, how was the fight?
  12. I understand Center Island has some good bass and pike fishing from shore, maybe the ponds in High Park would also work for your group
  13. Your reports are always impressive. Jigging is a technique I need to improve on and try more.
  14. Joey- if you know the breed, you know they are eccentric. The dog is under the table for 2 reasons, he wants to stay dry but he is also biting at rain drops as they fall off the table. It is a nice spot for 4 hours away, but I was told that there will be changes due to the recent land claims. I was told by a cottager that one side of the South Access road and Big Island were going to be lost to the land claim.
  15. I know what you mean Mike, he is 10 and really calmed down after when he turned 9, he used to be crazy but for some reason has always been good in the canoe and boat. These trips take alot out of him though, its about a 2 day recovery.
  16. The dog told me I suck at fishing, I agreed
  17. I went camping a little east of Bon Echo PP last weekend. I knew the weather wasn't going to be ideal but I was running out of weekends so the dog and I went anyway. There was only 1 other site occupied that weekend. Our campsite for a couple of nights. The lake is drained for hydro in the fall so summer water levels are down 6-8ft Sandy Beach and good wind protection for the boat The fishing was decent but not as good as last fall. More pike, smaller bass and no walleye. My best pike, jigging a white grub Steady rain Friday night until Saturday noon but we stayed dry. I was hoping for better fishing but the beer was cold, the food was good, and the camping was free. The dog roughing it Some Bear tracks in the creek bank behind the campsite.
  18. Great report. An impressive assortment of quality fish. Thanks for including the camp and shore lunch pics. My favourite picture was the snow covered dock, with the cheeseburgers a close second. What did buddy get the trophy for?
  19. Awesome Report Bill, very inspiring results, I hope to give that a try in early Dec.
  20. Impressive report, thanks for taking the time to post it
  21. Congrats Worm Dangler, impressive art work, it looks like there is mist between the tree's. To add to what Art was saying: I had a young guy interning with me at work a few years ago. He was in training and had not yet secured a job in the field. I never noticed it at the time but he always wore long sleeved shirts done up to the neck. Then I bumped into him at Home Depot in the summer and he was wearing short sleeves. His arms and lower neck were covered in tattoos. He was smart enough to cover them up until he got a permanent job. If he had worn short sleeves while interning people would have judged him differently and he probably would have reduced his chances of getting hired. I don't think Roy was being critical. Judging by Worm Danglers response he already asked himself those questions before he did it.
