as it said..... 2 more shoots were opened up at full blast on the lower Trent today causing severe flooding into the BOQ.........even with this cold spell it will still be some time before you'll be able to get out on the ice out of Trenton.

I'm with Lew....probably many others too. Guido...them some nice looking pieces of art there Bud. Mostly mine are In-line models (Not mouse patterns)..but recently ive turned to using 30lb PP for the wraps. They're for fish with teeth........just a thought.

Yes Terry...how old were you then tho???????? Something very similar happened to me back about 18yrs ago or so... I looked a lot different then and different mindset....... Long story very short.... I was at spring baseball tryouts.... My 2 boys ( age 3 & 7)in the park playing very close by were swarmed and assautlted by some older youths. It made the front page of the paper....they called it the ''"DonnyBrook on Liverpool".. I effectively not only caught up withthese youths but a father of one as well. I was charged...11 counts of assault.. 2 of them most likely will never eat right again..there were 6 youths total. Once the police finally got the hospital report from my brother...also there who tookmy boys to hospital.. Also my father..... The coppers say to me.... OK, OK...we will drop these charges if you dont lay any yourself. Reason was........ If we layed the charge.. These idiots youngsters would get our address and make life a living pile of..... the coppers however laid charges on my two boys behalf.... Ive all the respect in the world for the police when it finally ends like that. It can be a pain in the butt when your involved in anything...but sincerely...whats the cops going to do. I think they just remove what they percieve to be a threat at the time as a starting place. You read it right...11 assault charges...only 6 youths+ one father.... There are multiple degrees of assault once some are removed by ambulance. As to why I didnt immediately go to the hospital w/ my boys...... They had been held down and were force poured a substance from a bottle and with family there to take them to hospital...I wanted that bottle for its contents...coulda been turpentine or anything else.

Your offer, generous as well totally unbelievably awesome is noted and greatly thanked. Maybe we'll do one of the nights.....most likely Ill be there right up until christmas.... I love being home with the wifey.but weather/road conditions ......SPEW! No work today.......... We have 2 bushcords of 15" mix HW....but they must be split 2-3 times more for our needs and thats what Im doing for the day.........I couldnt expect Charmaine to be out there cutting it.....If I can get a weeks worth done today Ill be happy. Thanks for the Toronto update Lew......it just may have pursuaded me to make the drive. I hear you on the extra clothes.....after 30+ yrs in my trade I learned long ago about the extra clothes/footwear.......gloves etc...even in summer. Twilight........hope you pack a little more then a blanket after today. OH well......HiHo-HiHo ...I'm heading out. If it doesnt climb above -4 it will be in vain...a near 400km waste of time and near $45 in gas. Maybe Im going to think this one out a little more.... Supposed to get a little nicer towards end of the week.....just work through the weekend. Got tons of ice to chip off my drivway right now anyway...and firewood to cut. HmmmmH?????????

'morning all... To drive in or not....this is the question. My question this morning anyway. I live out in Quinte West and we get some pretty decent plowing done...much the same them folks up Penetang way from what Ive read but.... My place of work for the next 2 weeks is near Greenwood and O'Connor, (Toronto's north east end)....this is probably close to 200km's away. Got decent weight in the back of the Blazer, a bucket of road salt too, shovel, towing chain, flares, blanket and a full 'Jerrycan'.........ahhhhh, snow tires too........ Im nervous due to some of my fellow travellers that overtake me however or them friends along the road who dont signal....All it takes is one of our regular commuting folks out there to screw up and all around him are finished...... Spoke to the builder last night as well....... 'Have you got the tarps up yet? ....I asked. Yessir was the reply...right to the roof......Well, well...decent of you... 'How about heat?" ...I asked..... Well..........we werent expecting this cold so early he says.......no heat till after X-mas is what the budget says. I replied.... 'What if its warmer after X-mas!".......NO REPLY. NO matter what...just like so many drivers..... Just so many folks out there are never prepared...... What do you have in your trunk for safety on the icy roads? BE SAFE OUT THERE FOLKS.......

I hear ya on the 'LEAF'S TV'..... Let the only child left in the house and my wife have any selection of TV (Satelite) packages they wanted....I only picked 2 for myself.... WorldFishingNetwork........... ......'cept......'Go Shelley, Go Shelley,,,,,,' and LEAFS TV..... before the season started it was great....But first couple of games into the season I found myself watching this stupid station waiting for the game.......Well they dont televise it till after the game is over and then you get to watch them lose the same game maybe 6 times over the next 48hrs............I'm cancelling it Monday morning. Media has ideas for GM as perhaps Ronnny Francis, The Moose, Healey or ????????? I dunno........Id give Francis a look see

Depends on what your looking for Bud........ We have a guest room out back of our property... It over looks the Trent-Severn Waterway......about 16' off the rivers edge. It is heated......but just a room.....nice tho....about 13' x 16'.. 1 Queen size bed and a 27"TV w/DVD and plenty of home made quilts..... Unfortunately there is only a bucket to releive yourself in at this time...but I handled it well as did the wife............Now, Now.....not me....the bucket situation as we sleep out there whenever theres company for the night. We are near 15 minutes from the BOQ at the mouth of the river in Trenton....some 45 min. drive to Picton. There is ample parking and we only ask a mere pittance to cover the cost of heat is all. If you've no luck elsewhere shoot me a PM My Avatar is a pic of the view looking north from the window of this guest room to give you an idea.
