Good luck! I was there last week, got into a few. Gannons always coughs fish up for me, but not this time. Spent 4 or 5 hours there over the week and not even a sniff. That amount of time would usually get me a couple in years past. Hope you do better if you stick to that area!

here you go...I have a 2013 Caravan that I use to tow a 16'8" Alumacraft with a 90 hp and full console. I also tried to add a tranny cooler and was told it was not necessary....people turning down business? Gotta be true I guess. I tow from Guelph to St Clair and Guelph to Pigeon...no problem been doing it a couple years. Gas mileage gets cut in half though! And others have said, stick to paved launches. Get a hitch and have at er!

Depends on when...wife just gave me a three day pass to St C so I doubt I will be back there anytime soon! As far as extra bodies on board that is generally a good thing on st clair. Extra people means extra lines allowed and increase your odds. For me, I find 3 guys on board is ideal. Gives you 6 lines and everyone has a role. One guy reels in fish, other guy nets it, 3rd guy controls the boat in sometimes "adverse" conditions.

What flavour supershad rap you using? We had success on perch flavour and firetiger

Well we did pretty good numbers wise...between 2 of us caught and released 13 muskies in 2.5 days of fishing. Size? not so much. Our biggest was around 40, a whole bunch of mid 30's and a couple that you would need to put on the rack to stretch out to 25! Either way, lots of fun and got to bump into Krattor out there by the hump.

oh i was plenty happy...about that one. But I think for 2.5 days fishing I only got 3 (other 2 were less than 40) and my buddy only got a pike and a sheephead....real miserable trip for him!

The plan had been to do a multi species trip in kawarthas for a couple days...but saner heads have prevailed and we will be heading to St. Clair instead for 2 days of musky! We did the same last year, but didn't fare too well (hence the thought to go to kawarthas this time). Caught a few muskies last time, and one topped out at 49.5" (caught casting a strawberry sledge), but it was pretty slow (compared to how we usually do in summmer). If it hadn't been for the good one, I would have called the trip a failure. Haven't seen any St Clair musky opener reports but would be happy to hear them here (or via pm if you prefer).

..the problem was it was the young man who said don't worry we will be up...but he was nowhere to be found as I was banging and calling and knocking...it was the young lady who had to deal with the barrage

...more to the story...I asked them to leave the minnows outside....was told don't worry, we will get up...I warned them that if they don't I would be absolutely relentless and would really prefer they just set them out the night before that way I don't have to wake them...was again told, don't worry we will get up...when nobody got up I was friggin relentless (phone calls, doorbell, knocking)....about 10 straight minutes....I was relentless as warned(and I did get my minnows)

but where we live (Waterloo Region) the price of even a small property is crazy Bingo...I am in Guelph. What the heck is with pricing in this area. Ludicrous. Piece of junk on a half acre lot $500k or more
