  1. here's a wee little baby tiger I got with coolB a few years ago
  2. only skinny crack addicts down there (wouldn't dare waste money on food when you can find it in a dumpster)
  3. I like 'em both, suicks and bulldawgs. Those magnum dawgs are a brute to cast though, I like em drifting over deep rocky water. Once you get them out there, the retrieve is a piece of cake
  4. I store my lunch in my livewell...Ron, you are never welcome in my boat
  5. I'll take those white bumpers for free
  6. ooooo son, that's a big'un. I guess even carp tie on the feedbag!
  7. great, now you have me worried! I've been ok all the years I've had boats, but maybe I will just toss a bit of antifreeze in there this year...then again, maybe not
  8. WOW! I just leave everything open...water expands when freezing and heads out the easiest way. Oh well, I guess both ways work! Call me lazy but its worked every year. Then again, I only fish until mid december, not through the nasty cold of january and february
  9. wow 120 is a great price assuming it works. I've got the aqua vu scout which is pretty much a cheap unit but I paid close to 300 a few years ago. I love floating around with it on. Only drawback is I spend more time watching the camera than fishing
  10. sweet and cuddly they are...rrrrriiiiiiigggggghhhhhhttttttt
  11. I'll take you up on that Brian. Only ice fishing I did on Simcoe was that Charity tournament, even got meself 47th place (out of 500 plus people). Would really like to learn more about ice fishing out there
  12. hahaha too funny Dan. We do that where I come from. Tell the neighbour kids its a "pinata" and voila, got yourself a tenderized steak
  13. After reading all these encounters people have had, I actually feel much more comfortable about a bear encounter. Sounds like a lot of the time they are curious or looking for an EASY meal...and if they aren't, just yell and hoof 'em in his furry nuts
  14. I fished there last year in January in open water! Here's hoping that happens again this year! We Barrie-ites are in favour of global warming
  15. its all my domain. Last I checked humans are number 1
  16. thanks for sharing this info. I've often thought of going (not to buy, just to watch what goes on). I'm far too ignorant on boat/motor mechanics to consider buying one there. May go one time just to see the rude auctioneer! Perhaps he'll let me burp into the mic...unless he's a different type of rude of course
  17. Snagglepuss! Those are some great fish, thanks for sharing the photos
  18. sweet mother of pearl thats a big fishy
  19. just make sure people are VERY clear as to what they are getting (ie photos of the exterior and interior)! Some people would think a place like this is just perfect (OFC'ers) whereas others would be mortified. People love to complain, make sure they are fully informed so that they have nothing to complain about (although we had one renter complain that there were too many mosquitoes in the evening...go figure, heart of the muskokas and somebody wasn't prepared for the evening mosquitoe onslaught)
  20. I've had a bear visit my site one night, and no sir, I didn't like it. Although I don't own a gun, I sure wish I had one at that point. Pretty sure you could hear my heart pounding across the lake the stinky beast was right outside the tent. Man I wish I was a sound sleeper, would've missed all the excitement. I think the best advice I've heard here involved hanging the food, but a LONG way from your camp
  21. geez, now I wish I didn't know. The wife has brought it up a couple of times as something for the future, I just pretend to be asleep when the subject comes up. Thanks for the update
  22. once again I have absolutely no clue what is going on
  23. nice looking fish and photos
  24. yup, a lot of money for a guy whose redeeming quality is a slapshot. On the positive side, I was actually impressed with Antropov's play. Still takes bad penalties (although the boarding call was a bad call IMO) but played surprisingly well...finally
  25. I would like to see any picture of a 52 inch pike. That is a rare fish! Not sure if I've ever heard of one that big.
