  1. ya, I included CTC more based on the hotdogs outside and the "place to meet" comment (good parking). Good luck getting more than 2 cars into Divers Nook lot, and if you're towing boats you may never get out.
  2. that was an awesome read and set of photos. Can't believe the way she poses so comfortably with the fish! The dang carp is bigger than her!
  3. haha thats great. congrats on your successful outings
  4. good stuff, lots of variety to keep them busy (and jealous!)
  5. haha I was going to post that I don't think there has ever been a 30 inch bass in the history of the world...until someone posted about the world record and its length. Either way, its a nice fish but somewhere in the neighbourhood of 21 or 22 inches is more realistic. Congrats on the catch
  6. wow, that fish is just plain ugly
  7. There's a Canadian Tire (with hot dog vendor!!!)just off the hwy at Bowes St. in Parry Sound, also a small tackle/bait shop called Divers Nook farther along Bowes but minimal parking there. There used to be a place on the west side of 69 not too far north of Parry Sound but I haven't been there for a few years now, can't confirm if its still there
  8. ...somebody told him to pose with a 35 inch fish
  9. ....ya, guess I shouldn't complain about the snotrockets
  10. nice looking pike! sure wish my cottage lake could produce pike like that rather than 22 inch snotrockets
  11. have no clue where this is, but by responding I save you from the oblivion of "page 2" and get you back to the top of one...for now. Hopefully someone else can help
  12. If I was catching 10 bass an hour I would quit! For me a big part of fishing is the challenge, that's why I'm 90% of the time fishing for musky. Regularly get skunked, regularly catch 2 or even 3 in a day. I figured it out a couple of years ago, I average a fish every 6 hours or so...in the meantime you've caught 60 bass!
  13. makes sense to me
  14. wasn't aware, will have to go check it out
  15. better than having a 15 inch motor on an 18 inch transom! Should be fine the way it is, if it isn't raise the transon a few inches
  16. I'm on 8 years as well and going fine. My trolling motor battery is new so I figure if the starter dies I could possibly start the boat with the deep cycle, or at least use it to slowly troll back!
  17. good for you, better late than never!
  18. was it still peeing water out? maybe impeller pooched and it was overheating
  19. ...so just had a look at the coupon. Family of 4 you'll be just over $100 to get in. The cost of entertainment I guess. It could be worse though Brian, you could have 4 kids to pay for like I do! Looks like I'll be approx 150.00 even with the coupon
  20. Funny you'd post this Brian, we were considering it recently. We had plans to bring our 4 boys there this summer rather than Centreville where we've gone in the past. When we saw the pricing we decided we'd do Centreville again! They have some good family deals so for us parking/ferry/ride passes were still cheaper than Santa's Village...but I will have a look at the coupons Bill posted and maybe reconsider
  21. ...although if you want to get really recent (last 2 seasons) he's averaged 70 games a season! Gotta love stats, you can use them to prove whatever point you want (thats the one thing I took away from University)
  22. I wouldn't call it manipulating the stats, I'd call it looking at recent history
  23. wow what a fish! very nice
  24. did some more reading - the biggest concern I would have is the concussions - apparently this hasn't been an issue the past few years. Its been all kinds of other fluky type things. Thats good news for the Leafs, hopefully he won't be snake bitten the next two seasons!
  25. pulled this quote from a different article. Misses nearly half the games based on the last 7 seasons. He is a "50 games a season guy" apparently. If he's played a lot the last few years I hope he can keep it up. A healthy Connolly can certainly help the Leafs, I'm just not convinced there is such a thing as a healthy Tim Connolly
