  1. nice looking pike! sure wish my cottage lake could produce pike like that rather than 22 inch snotrockets
  2. have no clue where this is, but by responding I save you from the oblivion of "page 2" and get you back to the top of one...for now. Hopefully someone else can help
  3. If I was catching 10 bass an hour I would quit! For me a big part of fishing is the challenge, that's why I'm 90% of the time fishing for musky. Regularly get skunked, regularly catch 2 or even 3 in a day. I figured it out a couple of years ago, I average a fish every 6 hours or so...in the meantime you've caught 60 bass!
  4. makes sense to me
  5. wasn't aware, will have to go check it out
  6. better than having a 15 inch motor on an 18 inch transom! Should be fine the way it is, if it isn't raise the transon a few inches
  7. I'm on 8 years as well and going fine. My trolling motor battery is new so I figure if the starter dies I could possibly start the boat with the deep cycle, or at least use it to slowly troll back!
  8. good for you, better late than never!
  9. was it still peeing water out? maybe impeller pooched and it was overheating
  10. ...so just had a look at the coupon. Family of 4 you'll be just over $100 to get in. The cost of entertainment I guess. It could be worse though Brian, you could have 4 kids to pay for like I do! Looks like I'll be approx 150.00 even with the coupon
  11. Funny you'd post this Brian, we were considering it recently. We had plans to bring our 4 boys there this summer rather than Centreville where we've gone in the past. When we saw the pricing we decided we'd do Centreville again! They have some good family deals so for us parking/ferry/ride passes were still cheaper than Santa's Village...but I will have a look at the coupons Bill posted and maybe reconsider
  12. ...although if you want to get really recent (last 2 seasons) he's averaged 70 games a season! Gotta love stats, you can use them to prove whatever point you want (thats the one thing I took away from University)
  13. I wouldn't call it manipulating the stats, I'd call it looking at recent history
  14. wow what a fish! very nice
  15. did some more reading - the biggest concern I would have is the concussions - apparently this hasn't been an issue the past few years. Its been all kinds of other fluky type things. Thats good news for the Leafs, hopefully he won't be snake bitten the next two seasons!
  16. pulled this quote from a different article. Misses nearly half the games based on the last 7 seasons. He is a "50 games a season guy" apparently. If he's played a lot the last few years I hope he can keep it up. A healthy Connolly can certainly help the Leafs, I'm just not convinced there is such a thing as a healthy Tim Connolly
  17. I stand corrected. When I think Connelly I think of skilled player that averages 50 games a year...although maybe I'm not too far off. What did he play in those other 4 seasons, may bring his average down close to 50
  18. ...that may the biggest "if" I've ever seen. Has he even played anything close to a full season the last 10 years?
  19. smallies with largies a close second
  20. yup but people with tillers are a bit off balance as it is so the goofy engine doesn't make a difference
  21. ...although you may wish for your own demise if you have a big treble stuck in your arm or eyelid and the rest of the hooks in a thrashing 45 inch musky!
  22. its been a few years since I bought a prop but I'd think you could get something for $100. Royal Distributing on the 400 near Barrie had props a couple of years ago. Not sure if they still do, or if they are any good, but I remember the cost being very reasonable
  23. ...hahaha...I laughed so hard when I read this coffee came out my nose...and I don't even drink coffee
  24. get yourself a boat rental or canoe or build a raft or strap on some water wings and get yerself out into East lake. Soon as you come out of the river there are pencil reeds everywhere along the left side. Drift through and cast a spinnerbait ahead and you will be exhausted from the number of pike/bass you catch. Great numbers lake but not too many big ones around.
  25. ...like a hot knife through butter
