anyone know where I can get a decent motion sensor camera for a decent price? My father in law is looking to get one. Thanks in advance.

My bro in law has the hybrid. Its great on fuel. He averages 7 litres on 100 km. But he does constantly complain it doesn't have the power when going up hills and passing. Also the escapes have a known problem for randomly stalling. Look it up on Google. It happened to him. Had to wait 20 mins and it would start again. But would stall shortly after. I read an article about a month ago that ford isconsidering recalling all 2009 and above for this problem. I would do some research before jumping in. Good luck.

Thanks Sinker.

Do these kirkland deep cycle batteries require a top up of distiilled water after each use? Do all deep cycles require this maintanence? Sorry. my knowledge of batteries is horrible.

Thats everyone for the tips. I have a 15 amp schumacher and my friend has a motomaster. So i'll give both a shot to see if it restores.

I have this battery charge meter that came with my min kota trolling motor. after charging, i'll test it an hour later and it will always read one bar out of 5.

I have a deep cycle battery that won’t hold a charge. I tried topping it up with distilled water and charging the crap out of it. Is there anything else I can try or is it junk? How do I dispose this battery properly if it can't be used anymore?
-
Thanks everyone. I'll try the suggestions. Dabluz, I don't know the answers to your questions. I just bought the battery and trolling motor off someone a few years back. Im going to try to post a picture. Would you mind taking a look at it?

Highland creek was frozen this morning so I bet most of the others are as well.

I also had bedding issues with nanofil and have since taken it off and put my mono back on. Although zero stretch is great for those hero drifts and hooksets, it puts a lot of pressure on your leader line and I found you really have to baby the fish a bit more to try not to break off fish. The stretch is mono I find helps absorb a lot of shock. Also if you’re fishing smaller water and your float is relatively close to you and you set the hook into a fish, there is a lot of shock/stress on the leader and I have broken fish off on the hookset. Really annoying when you know it’s a fish and you don’t even get to feel the headshake or initial run. I run 6lb FC in almost all situations. Although it is Pline FC…. I did however use it for hardware chucking with a 12lb leader and it worked amazing for that application. Could feel every weed, rock and takes would rip the rod out of your hands.

I left my deep cycle battery in the garage since early fall and when I checked the water level, it was down quite a bit. I topped it up with distilled water and trickle charged it but it won't hold a charge. Is this battery pooched? Pls help battery experts.

There is a guide right in the village. I too fished the Birkenhead in August. The chimneys were starting to roll in and the resi bows were cooperating well. It was a while back so I don't remember the directions but the whistler fly shop was very helpful with directions and had the best flies for the local rivers.

Not sure if you'll get this post Spooled but I canoed into Emily lake from the top end and it was a big disappointment fishing wise, but a great day for a paddle with the father in law. we decided to go downstream and take out at the road which was much closer but it looked like someone had filled it in and we were not able to reach the road even though it was only 50 yards away. very frustrating, especially when you're starving.

you can find mooseknuckle jackets at sport check and if you look hard enough some of the winners have them for a steal compared to MSRP. Its not for me. I'm old, married with kids. But some of my younger co-workers tell me about it

Got mine today too. What's more amazing is that my wife didn't give me grief for another "useless fishing product".
-
Me too. Mine aren't as pretty but they work fine. Made a DIY lathe out of a dremel.

Those are very nice. Do you Palmer the marabou or just pinch, measure and tie? Lately I've been palmering but find the marabou is too long.

This same crap happens everywhere though, at least out East the bows get released. Up North it seems like 3 or 4 killed for every 1 released. Yah that's for sure. I'm pretty sure I saw you on friday with your buddy. It seemed like I was the only one releasing fish.

Islander uses lock tight(blue) on the bearings. If your careful, you can tap them out without damaging the bearings. Then do what mike suggested. Another trick is to tighten the centre nut just enough so that there is little to no play. The screw will be loose so you can wrap some thread on the nut threads to keep it in place. That will probably triple your spin time, if that is what your concerned about. But as long as it starts well when your using it, that is all that matters. I acyually used a tiny drop of blue lock tight on the thread of the nut and tightened it just enough to eliminate play. I'm not suggesting u do this as there is a lot of room for error.

I heard they drain the lake to a low level every fall. Is that true or is it because of lack of rain.
