  1. If you want a cheap pair of breathables, try mail order from cabelas. You can also pick up a pair at bps but I have heard that a lot of people has had leaking problems with the white river brand. If you want to spend the dough for a good quality pair that will last you a lifetime, look at the LL bean Wicked Tough gortex waders. You pay the price but they are waders for life. Any leaks, send them back and they will replace them for you. I think they will even pay for shipping. I've had mine for a year and no issues. Good luck.
  2. Hello, I may be in the blue mountain area this weekend and hoping to sneak off for a bit to do some fishing. Can anyone give me some suggestions for some river bass? Is bighead a good option or the notty? What should I use? Thanks.
  3. Hello, I will be in the Tremblant area for a family vacation first week of July. Has anyone else fished in this area and have any suggestions? I'll probably be doing some fly fishing in the Diable river and some lake fishing in lac ouimet but willing to try other spots. I'm a real novice fly fisher so any tips on which section to fish or fly selection would be helpful. I recently had a daughter so my time on the water has been pretty limited so I can't wait for some one on one time with the fish! Thanks Dave.
  4. Hey Scott. Bruce here. jiggle it. then slow lift retrieve. jiggle it again. Works for me.
  5. Hello. Can anyone suggest a place to go for carp in the lindsay area? I go there often to visit the inlaws and wanted a place I can take the nephew for a couple of hours. I know the main locks in town has some but not having a lot of luck there. Thanks!
  6. Which Costco location did you see it at? I would like to take a look. Thanks.
  7. I have a couple of favs. Search bait - Strike king bleeding series spinnerbait Topwater - baby torpedo in frog colour Plastic - Storm watermelon grubs.
  8. This may be a stupid question but is there a season for panfish? I want to take my nephew for a couple of hours this weekend in the kawarthas.
  9. Humber river by old mill station. Don't fish by the dam though. Santuary even if you are targetting suckers. Plenty below in the rapids. Or Oshawa creek. I haven't been to both locations yet this year, but have seen plenty of them in both rivers before.
  10. Go to the nearest walmart on the US side and buy one. Some walmarts are 24hrs but the vender that sells licenses sometimes does not open until 9-10am. Learned that the hard way.
  11. Hello Dobee, May may be a bit too late. Last year I went to the Catt on the first week of may. The stream was loaded...with carp and some bass. I ended up hooking more bass and carp then steelhead. Maybe the same for Erie. We did a trip last year beginning of april and there were tons of suckers in Elk. Also, they recently released a ton of smolts on some of the stocked streams in PA so they will attacking your roe bags. It seems a lot of PAers call it quits once the smolts are released. Maybe Ohio? Never been but some say its better late spring. They have the manistee strain.
  12. I have 3.5hp outboard that has only been used a couple of times several years ago. Where can I take it for a tune up in the Scarborough area? Thanks.
  13. hey Mike any anyone else, What do you guys do with the carcus? I also take fish once a year for roe but I never know what to do with the remains. I usually end up giving it someone that wants it so it doesn't go to waste. Thanks
  14. I agree. Way too crowded now. My inlaws live in Omemee and I used to stop there on the way back to TO for just an hour. It used to be just me and the wife and we would each catch one or two. Now its littered with fishermen and garbage. Last few years the fishing has been terrible. I don't even stop there anymore. My wife complains about the litter and all the people there. Not worth it.
  15. Hello, Can someone tell me the slot size for walleye at Balsam lake? Thanks.
  16. Hey Ktfo, I just got the BPS white river U shaped. My old browning was splitting in the seams and bps was good enough to give me a credit. A quick profile, live in TO love to go steelhead fishing. Need some thing to do in the summer time so I posted here looking for some help. Thanks for those who have already replied and thanks in advance for those who will. tried posting an old pic and took forever to upload. Is that normal?
