So its time to replace the carpet in our house. The current one is the one that came with the house so its about 17 years old. Does anyone know of a place that sells for a good price? I was at Home depot on the weekend and they had a special for $2.29-$2.50 a sq foot and $0.5 for underpadding. Sounds like a good deal to me but seeing if anyone knows of a better deal. Thanks.

depending on where the break is, you can fix the rod and keep using it. I have 3 broken rods that I use on a regualar basis. nothing wrong with them.
-
Do you pick them right at the base or where it starts to curl?

I know there have been some 3.5 or 3.75 made. I think it was by ABI? But I'm pretty sure they are going to be hard to find and not cheap. I think Angling specialties makes a 4 inch. How about putting on a push button on that float rod with a bigger float? just engage the reel when the float drops. just an idea. Nothing worse than having to deal with a big birds nest on a float reel.

I'd be interested in contacting your guy in Peterborough. Would you mind PMing me his contact info?

Hey luke. I was thinking the same thing and just decided to remount the winters on my stock rims for this year at least. I'll look for a good set for next winter. Thanks everyone for the advice. Really appreciate it. You don't learn just about fishing on this board!!

Thanks for the spacer advice. Ill have to make some calls to see who sells them in Toronto. I know Toyota doesnt because they probably want people to buy their rims. How do I measure the offset? Thanks again. I really do appreciate it! Havent been able to drive the car since I put them on! I just bought this car a couple of weeks ago so Im dying to back behind the wheel. What is it rubbing against? The Caliper?

Is anyone here a tire expert? I just bought some used winter tires that were mounted on steel rims. It was a great deal for winters, used one season so I took it. My car is a 09 toyota highlander and the bolt pattern is 114.3 and tire size is 245.65r/17, so I bought the same in the winters. After installing them, I noticed that there is a bit of rubbing on the back tires. I wasn’t aware of the offset. Could this be the problem? I just thought that the bolt pattern has to match. Is there anything I could do to fix it or do I have to mount the winters on my stock rims and ditch the steelies? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I also bought mine online. Card and 3 year tag. You can save the temporary copy of your license as a PDF. If you have a smart phone, email it to yourself so you always have a copy on your phone until the permanent one comes in the mail. Better than carrying around a big piece of paper or in case you lose the temp copy.

Loop ur leader through the bead twice. Then take the tag end and through the line that is on the outside of the bead three times.

New York? Call then. But I already have a license number 1 (866) 933-2257

This was taken a couple months back but thought I would share it anyways. This thing was toying with my bait for a good 15 minutes before committing. The herocam is a great toy. Hope to shoot more footage like this in the fall! hope it works. Enjoy

A couple of weekends ago I went out with a buddy to puslinch and tried out his Outcast pontoon boat. Its definitely a different way to fish and I found it quite enjoyable using his craft. After using his, I’m thinking of upgrading mine so if anyone has one that they don’t use, drop me a PM. I would be interested if the price is right. Fishing was mediocre. IT was our first time there and man, there is a lot of boat traffic there. For such a small lake, I’m surprised that big power boats are allowed. Just a couple hammer handles and that was it. Lots of fellow anglers as well but I didn’t see anyone get much. Anyone else have decent luck at this place?

This will be my first trip to algonquin. Our group will be camping at crotch lake and doing short portages around the surronding lakes. Anyone been here and the neighbouring lakes? Any fishing advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tubes in green, light brown twisters, brown rapala countdowns. For live bait, leeches

The president was on sale at Canadian tire last week for $59. I picked it up based on recommendations from board members here. Very smooth but have yet to test it on a fish. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

You mean, there used to be whitefish in the lake

I have a pontoon with a trolling motor, float tube and a hybrid type thing. I think pontoon would win for the reasons already mentioned. Out of the water, ability for a motor. Also can carry a lot more gear if need be, can kick and oar, pretty stable. My pontoon has a nice sturdy cushioned seat so its really comfy to sit in all day. Float tube has a foam seat with straps to adjust the slant position. Not so comfy after 2 hours. Rough on the back. But the float tube still has its purpose - smaller back lakes where you have to hike in to, they would be more convenient. Just get them all and then some!! I have three personal floatation fishing devices, a canoe, two man kayak and an inflatable boat. You should see my garage!

Drive to the north side of the hill and there are clear marked fishing sections. The further upstream you go the longer the hike down the gorge. Hope your not afraid of bears. I have encountered them before. Big kauffman stones work well. For dries try some Adams and klinks. I've caught smallish browns and rainbows. There is one major pool just upstream from the bridge when your driving to the village. Look for a big wood bridge. Streamers work well here. You can get your licence at the CT in st-jovite or the fly shop in the old village might sell them. Good luck.

I have been cruising around on web and have seen people giving away free tin boats. Only catch is you have to come and get it. Never had a trailer so it never was an option. But now, my brother in law just bought a boat trailer. So now we're thinking we should get a boat. Does anyone have one that they want to get rid of? Now we have the means of picking it up and taking it away so we're entertaining the idea! Still have to pick up a motor but that's the next step. Its something we're not sure if want to maintain so we don't want to invest a lot of money. Also our wives have something at say about it but we're still going for it. We'll take our chances. Thanks.

Hey Skeeter. If you could locate that flyer for me that would be great. Otherwise I'll check out some local shops. Thanks for the replies Skeeter and BB.
