  1. fish crisp or chronzys breading. or any seasoned breadcrumbs then fry in butter or oil try adding parmesan to the breadcrumbs too...mmmmmm then a squeeze of lemon when they're done
  2. the thread its in his first post. ryan
  3. i thought at some point he had posted a link on facebook that you could add and follow. dont know the link offhand though ryan
  4. i have not, i was going to talk to him when we arrive at the camp on saturday morning. ryan
  5. we're heading back up to lakair again for the labour day weekend. we were up there earlier in the summer and the fishing was reaaaaaaally tough. im sure the water level hasnt come up much since then but does anybody know how the fishing has been in the area? it'd be nice to actually catch something up there this time ryan
  6. i had a set of general altimax arctic on my last car...they were fantastic especially when you consider the size of the contact patch on a small 155/80/13 tire!
  7. i dont think it matters that your daughter was 17 at the time she signed the contract since it was co-signed by a parent/guardian. these places bank on the fact that people dont read the contract when they sign up. it may be all sorts of bad things morally or whatever, but a contract is a contract... after it's signed is no time to complain about it. it looks like there is more than one lesson to be learned in all of this. ryan don't take this negatively, i too got caught up in all of this once. chalked it up as lessons learned, paid it and went on with life.
  8. i'm not 100% sure if it falls in the area, but many provincial parks within easy driving distance of the GTA have alcohol bans on for the may and september long weekends. may not be a big deal to many, but its nice to have a beer or two around the fire.
  9. fishmaster contact info try that ryan
  10. its hardly a waste of money to take a motor to someone qualified when you admittedly no NOTHING about how an outboard work. it'd probably be the BEST couple of hundred dollars you spend.
  11. lakair?
  12. the do not call list doesnt apply to any company you are currently doing business with.
  13. i i think you'll be hard pressed to find a 20-35hp motor for 4-600 dollars, especially if that budget includes having it checked out, the impeller replaced and the lower unit oil changed. all 3 of which you'd want to do, at minimum, with any used motor you buy. ryan
  14. ive been thinking of doing that as well, not for a bunch of years. i don't want to be swinging wrenches for the rest of my life and teaching people the trade i think would be pretty rewarding. good luck! ryan
  15. looks like you had a great time. we were thinking of going up to that park, i really like the idea of being able to have the boat right at the campsite. which campsite up there did you guys camp at. having never been there its hard to tell which sites are right on the water with space for the boat. ryan
  16. gotcha.
  17. i wasnt asking about it so that it could be pirated, and i didnt know about them exchanging it. just thought that maybe once you bought it you would be able to use it in more than one machine. sorta like making mp3 or cassette copies of a cd you bought. ryan
  18. are the SD map chips a read-only thing? couldnt you copy the data from the SD to the mSD?
  19. with the cylinders being right next to each other ie. cyls 2 and 3, you may have a head gasket problem, or cracked block between the two cylinders. it could cause a loss of compression in both cylinders and cause misfiring and fouling of the plugs. go to princess auto, walmart or canadian tire and pick yourself up a compression tester, google for directions if you cant figure it out...its really quite easy. not sure what exactly the spec on your motor would be, but if the cylinders arent within 10% or so of each other, its not good. ryan.
  20. bigger baits!!
  21. i thought i read in another thread that the winner was picked, but it was going to take 30 days or so before they notify because of all the legal mumbojumbo that goes along with something like this. i dunno quite when that thread was though, somewhere around the draw date. ryan
  22. edit... too early, coffee hasnt kicked in yet.
  23. i dont know if that end of the lake is anything like the west arm. if it is, i wish you good luck, we were up at lakair a few weeks back and the fishing was real tough. the water was down at least 3'. seems all the fish we were marking were in deeper channels. 15-30' of water. i hope things change in the next few weeks, i'd like to get into some fish over the labour day weekend when we're back up there. let us know how it works out for you ryan
  24. a few gas stations i can think of offhand, theres an esso/countrystyle coffee/subway at the cutoff for hwy 12. further north you could pull of in parry sound, or not far past that there is a couple in nobel and one in point au baril. im sure there are others but i cant think of them off the top of my head. realistically if you fill up in/around barrie, you'll probably make it right into sudbury i'd think. ryan
