  2. Thanks guys !!! That Lund is my buddies we both took our boats yesterday !!! It came from Lund that way when he got it !!!! Not really sure what the differences are but it runs amazing !!!! It sure is a wicked boat a big proV tournament boat !!!! It's like fishing out of a suite in the royal York !!! Lol
  3. Well my buddy and I hit Haliburton yesterday morning for some fall bass fishing.we started out early in the dense fog and were on fish before the fog even lifted !!! No giants but we had a great day and the fall colors on the lake were just awesome and at it was a postcard day !!! We used wacky rigs, spinnerbaits, dropshots X-zones of course as well as jigs !!!! Pretty much caught fish on everything my buddy DId we fished a deeper program and it payed off !!! Anyways here is a few pics of the day and some boat & pics in the fog !!!! Tight-lines
  4. It's about time !! I have had the books for years and some have been ruined or just get beat up
  5. Don't know if it's related or not but I'm always on OFC with my iPhone 5 and it usually always stays signed in and at 3am this morning it would not accept my password and took about 5 tries before I could sign in ??? That has never happened before ?? Like I said might not be related but I never ever have a problem with always being on my smartphone .... Hope we didn't get hit by a hacker or a virus ?? Huh ....
  6. Well another ithing is if people would start respecting the ramps and public spots by not throwing garbage and having fires and blocking people's driveways just to name a few it would help !!!! Go to any public spot where there is access and see the garbage the worm containers and the discarded Tim hortons cups and fishing line !!!!!! I was at the buckhorn dam a few days ago and was disgusted at what I seen !!!! The white bucket brigade was there and there was garbage everywhere !!!!!!! Floating around in the river as well as all over the dam !!!!!! It's not a wonder it happens !!!! They did the same at lake scugog 15yrs ago !!!! There is almost no access by the public anymore than the main pay launch in port perry or one of the 2 marinas on the lake !!! So it's no suprise ...... And only going to get worse !!!!!
  7. wow !!! that looks great !! ! nice of lew to snap that pic,and awesome that your co-worker painted that !!! cool

  10. Pretty disgusting for sure !!! And getting worse everyear ..... It was no different 20yrs ago when I stopped fishing the creeks in the GTA and there is a lot more people now so I'm glad I don't have anything to do with the annual carcass hunt !!! They are way nice in the lake in the summer anyways !!!!! We need more CO'os for sure ....
  11. Buddy was there last weekend on Sunday !!! Said around point Anne hitting the weed edges and first drop offs with Texas rigged worms and was dropshotting swammers !!!!! 8-15ft he said !!! Depending on where you are launching there is the upper bay, middle bay and of course the lower area !!!! If you are hitting the middle bay try around foresters island and mowhawk bay and green point for smallies !!!! Good luck. Cheers
  12. I see some fancy hotel resorts in the Caribbean already have them for tourists !!! Seen them on the travel channel !!!! Lets hope they outlaw them here. !!!!! Annoying for sure
  13. Great catch guys !!!!! Good ole worm harnesses strike again !!!! I use a number 5 Indiana blade on my harnesses there as well !!!!!! Cheers
  14. Pressure Trend Typical Weather Fish Behaviour Suggested Fishing Tactics High Clear skies Fish seek cover, look for logs, weeds in shallows. If water too warm, will stop biting. Fish structure close to surface, with shallow crankbaits, poppers, etc.. Rising Clearing or improving Fish start to move out of deeper water. After a day or so, go to normal feeding. Fish with brighter lures and near cover, moving from deeper water to shallower water. Normal and stable Fair Normal activity. Experiment with your favorite baits and lures. Falling Degrading Most active feeding. Range of different methods. Surface and shallow running lures may work well. Slightly lower Usually cloudy Fish seek deeper water, with water temp maybe also slowing them down. May need to settle before feeding again. Use deep running lures at a moderate speed. Low Rainy and stormy Fish move to deeper structures, may not feed. Fish deep structures, vary your methods. Here is a basic guide I found online !!! Sort of sums it up I guess ... Most sites I checked pretty Much agree on it !!! Check it out art !!! Cheers
  15. It sure seems art that there are many variables that's for certain !!!! And it still really is a mystery and if the pressure really does make a huge difference or not,but like I stated above regardless of the weather a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work right. !!! Lol and all the years of crewing on a salmon charter boat it would be stormy rainy as hell on Lake Ontario and down 90feet we would still hook up on salmon and trout so does the pressure matter then ?? It's hard to say . Other times I have targeted walleyes after a cold front with north winds bluebird sky and can't even get a perch ?? Then a day or so later the bite is awesome !!!!! Also I find even in a stretch of bad weather and wind for a few days in a row the walleyes turn on big time !!!!!! It's like if it's stable good or bad weather the fishing is good it's that intermittent change that upsets the apple cart ?? And I enjoy figuring out the patterns almost as much as catching the fish anyways so at least the changes in weather keep the game interesting for sure !!! Cheers art !!!
  16. I thought they were like $50,000 ?? The muskokas will probly have a few ..... Lets make sure we have an open season on them as well as no limit !!!!!!
  17. . Yes I would panic as it would probly be karma catching up to me !!!! Hahaha lol
  18. I agree art,and some renown scientists are saying that it's the fish in lakes feel the pressure on their swim bladders ??? Pretty weird but sounds very plausible and from what I can research that the pressure is detectable to around 30feet !!!! So does that seem likely ??? I have really been reading up on this and learning a lot !!! Lol like you said it seems that what happens directly before and after the pressure raises or drops is a very big factor !!!! And if they do feel pressure on their swim bladder than it all fits in the puzzle !!!!! And yes Roy I would be worried too if I seen a big hand Comming Down too !!!! Lol.
  19. Same as singing dog for buckets just off weed lines and drop offs with Texas rigs and cranks for smallies it's been tubes and senkos !!! And we have been fishing fairly deep for them as well 12-30ft and it seems slow is the ticket for my buddy and myself he has been dropshotting and I have been Texas rigging and dragging tubes really good at transitions rock/sand and flats near bottom of drop offs we have done pretty well no giants but lots of impressive fish it took a few trips to figure them out but the lakes we fish the buckets have been deeper as well different year that's for sure !!!!! And now they are drawing wTer down and one of our lakes has dropped over 2 feet so that's gonna change fishing styles again !!!
  20. Yes the lake is in turnover as well, but the algae is still a big problem !!!
  21. Well how is it that cold water is more dense than warm water because the molecules are closer together ?? So would there not be more weight on cold water than warm water ?? And with the atmosphere pushing down on it would that not increase that as well ?? And for the most part it's about lakes not the ocean . That and temp changes of the air as cold air sinks down
  22. That's a great relaxing way to do it !!!! Funny too thanks for sharing ..... It kinda reminds me of pier trolling !!!!! With a Tim hortons in your hand !!!!
