Nice! My favourite fish!!

Turns out it was only 44 taps. LOL.....either that or I missed a few on pack up. Regardless, 44 buckets are cleaned, dried and put away for next year. S.

You will be ok IMO. My 16fter is just over 1000lbs fully loaded with 2 batteries and a full tank of gas. Mine is a deep and wide but, fairly light for its size. A 16ft console with a 90ish hp will put you around 2000lbs....the van will be working but doable. Common sense on the roads goes a long ways too. S.

There are a ton of reasons for colour. I just finished my last 4 litres. DONE!! lost count of the final tally, but somewhere around 45 litres from 46 taps. Great season but glad its over!! I still have a bunch of work to do cleaning up gear and storing it all away. S.

Its still running down here too. It just won't stop!!! I have 320l of sap boiled down to about 70 but I have been working so haven't had time to finish it. Make it stop!!! S.

My 40 won't go any slower than 2.3 mph unless I'm trolling into the wind. I use my bowmount to slow me down. Works mint. S.

I agree to a point. The younger generation is certainly more educated on the environment/conservation, and how to help it, but there are less outdoorsmen/women now. Most of these younger generation are tree hugging vegans who are totally brainwashed into thinking this bill is just what we need. That is what scares me. The more people we have with the mindset that fits this bill, the scarier it gets, and there is more and more of them all the time. BTW...I'm not old!! S.

The switch I am holding in my hand right now doesn't stay on when pushed down, but only has 3 pins. Will that work? I got it at napa. Part # TG6566 I believe..... I don't know if this will work on the riggers, but it might. S.

Can you not use any 3 way switch that will fit?

On may 20 you won't need anything but a fishing rod and a lure. I prefer crank baits that run at different depths, and switch up until you find the one that runs at the right depth where the fish are. I always start with a taildancer td7, then move up to a td9 if the first one doesn't work. Its not very often I can't get a laker on one. Just flatline it 100ft back on braded line and they will run 12-18ft depending on the size and speed your going. I try to keep speed between 1.3-2mph. S.

I finished 6 more litres on sunday. Iys slowed down around here but its still flowing ok on my bush trees. I should have enough for one more boil by end of week then taps are coming out. Im over 40 litrs finished now..... sick of it now lol S.

Has the lower unit oil been changed recently? That oil will leave a slick in the barrel if there is any residue on the lower unit. If you havent changed it, you should. And yeah, new gas for sure. Premium. S.

I dont trust a barrel test for anyhing. Put it on a boat and take it for a rip. Bring paddles. S.

There are lots of fish that spawn above sylvan glen, but i hear ya. Its a silly thing to be doing any way you look at it. S.
