  1. I was up there on the long weekend. I love that lake. Didnt see a single pike, but plenty of walleyes. Weather was mint and the bugs were bearable. What area of the lake were you fishing? S.
  2. I use intellicast and wunderground TWN is horrible. They dont even get current weather right.
  3. I heard they cut the tourny short because of heat and fish dying, but that is just a rumour. S.
  4. I've had the exact same thing happen to my elite 5. S.
  5. Id say your transducer is pooched. S.
  6. Something is wrong there steve. Maybe your charger is pooched. The ones ive been using are branded as magnacharge. Same as costco batts. I paid $175 for a 31 DC a week or two ago. Last one is still kicking but doesnt hold a charge like a new one. S.

a piece of skin has to stay on until ready for immediate consumption. So yeah, in the freezer until ready to fry, a piece of skin must stay on. s.
  8. One place i have permission to hunt turkeys has a few of these around. They belong to the neighbour, but the landowner shoots them on sight so i have permission to whack on if it gets close enough. They never shut up!! S.
  9. Very nice. Its been a couple years since I went for specks. I really miss it a lot! S.
  10. This ^ Dont forget your diving rapalas. Anywhere in the top 20ft is where id be trolling. Never fished drag i dont think. S.
  11. Must be fly fishermen....
  12. The government should mandate this. Might thin out some of the weasels. Only the strongest will survive. I wish i could afford to disappear into the woods. S.
  13. I'd say. Sheesh....what a bunch of D! CKS! S.
  14. Just a reminder that the locks dont open for fishing until next weekend. Check the regs for where you are going.
  15. Nicely done! S.
  16. The ones ive been using are magnacharge. The guy at the shop tells me they are the same as kirkland with a different label.
  17. Yes, this ^ If your just positioning your boat to cast or work shorlines etc....a battery will last a long time. Im willing to bet that the guys who say they are getting more than 5 years out of a battery have never run them down, and don't fish nearly as much as I do, because I have been burning up batteries for a long time, and there is no way to make them last longer than what they do, the way I use them. Running them flat every time kills them, period. I get mine from my local battery shop. Kawartha Battery in Peterborough. I don't even care to shop around for a price, because its a small family run business, and, well, they are just great people, so I prefer to support them rather than some CEO of costco.....just my choice. I paid $175 all in for a 31 series deep cycle. S.
  18. You would be better to hook them together and run them as one bank.
  19. Slow. That is all.....and yeah...use some meat. Did i say slow? S.
  20. I just got a new magna charge 31 series deep cycle. Its my second one like it. The other one has 4 seasons on it and still works good, but it doesnt have juice like it onxe did. I generally run my batteries until they are almost dead. I do a lot of slow trolling eyes, so my batteries dont last as long as most peoples, but i have had other batts that didnt make 4 seasons.. All uou can do is charge them after each use with a quality charger and replace when needed. I cant justify the price of an agm battery when i know i am going to kill it just as fast as a flooded cell. S.
  21. You won't hear me complain. S.
  22. Environmental Technologist. I wouldn't even want to be an engineer. Those guys screw everything up. S.
  23. Depends if there is anyone around to hear it S.
  24. Of course it is fine.... S.
