Yeah, saw this last night as well. He thinks his strap was cut off, and the people who cut it followed until the boat came off. Pretty crazy! I don't know how he didn't notice it gone though.....small boat behind a big truck maybe? WEird for sure. S.

I heard of one last night on FB. The guys boat came off the trailer, and he didn't notice. Someone flagged him down that saw it happen, and by the time the guy got turned around and back to where it happened his boat was GONE! This was on hwy 12 near the port perry cop shop. Crazy... S.

Yeah, a 3 way rig works good. I like using jigs if its not too snaggy. I like my white berkely power grubs....just lucky with them I guess. 3-4". Jighead size depends on current. You want to feel bottom, but not be anchored on it. Husky jerks work good too.....or similar suspending jerk baits.

They work better when they are spinning though. I have caught them going real slow on a drift with harnesses, but do a troll over the same area with blades turning right and you get a lot more action. S.

The others i know of are in the north end, but im not sure if the marina at long beach has rentals or not.

1/2 mph? How do you get the spinners to work going that slow? I find any slower than 1mph they dont work properly. I generally run 1.2- 1.8 depending on how active they are. I can make them work as slow as .8 or so, but on turns they stop spinning. They will still hit with the blades not turning, but its not as edfective. S.

I agree. I have seen them in the kawarthas smashing panfish, walleye, bass, and pike. Get a flock of 100 or so moving across a shallow bay and they dont leave much behind. S.

They don't seem to decoy to our duck spreads, but lots do fly by in range. Never actually had a flock lock up and decoy though. Even in the layout rig. S.

Seriously? Ive fished rice lake for 25 years. The last 5 years, at least once a week, generally 2 or 3 times. NEVER caught a pike there. NEVER caught a tiger in my life. And never caught that many musky in total out of that lake!!! Lucky is an understatement!!! Congrats on an awesome day! I bet you never do that again. Thats the first pike ive actually seen out of rice too! S.

What kind of hooks do you all prefer? And what size? I've tried all kinds of hooks, and not really partial to any one type or size....I like the red hooks because they don't rust.... And do you prefer 2 hooks, or 3? I tie some with one hook and troll minnows sometimes, but usually use two hooks for worms or leeches. S.
