How long have you guys/gals had the guidewear/100MPH suits? I find rain gear has a short lifespan. I've tried all kinds, and after 2-3 years, I get wet. It sucks spending big money on stuff that doesn't last. I've started buying cheap stuff again. Some of it lasts longer. Same with waders. I've had the top of line waders,and after 2-3 seasons they leak, so now I spend $100 on cheapies, and replace them every couple years. S.

Its one of the better shows IMO. Some great deals and free entry. I'm going to try and swing by, but I have plans to fish, so it will be tight. S.

I find the best way to haggle on price is to show up with cash in hand. The problem with kijiji is there are too many tire kickers. If you have the cash in hand, go have a look for yourself, and then start the haggling. Emailing is only good to make an appt to go for a look IMO. S.

Finally, just now, got a chance to read this start to finish. Great story. Congrats on the bogie win, buddy! Next year I will fish...haha....maybe....I think I only put maybe an hour or two of serious jigging time in this year. Just having too much fun socializing! Already can't wait til next year! Seriously considering a march trip north in 2018. Maybe, just maybe, go visit Pat. I am going to see him for sure this summer, so we can work on a winter plan. Went for the first boat ride of the year this afternoon. Got a nice feed of crappies to boot!

Mmmmm....fish cakes! Even better the next day! I finished off 6 litres of maple syrup tonight, and had a little left over that wouldnt fill a jar, so we had pancakes and sausages with fresh, still warm, maple syrup. Nothing fancy but really good!! S.

I agree that the terrova is a better unit than the PD, but there's nothing wrong with the PD V2. If you had a V1 before the V2 has a better pedal. S.

Great video. I have been canning stuff my whole life. It is a great way to preserve fish and game!! I get a lot of weird looks when I pull out a bottle of meat, but once they try it, they want more!! Its awesome stuff for a shore lunch side dish, and great warmed up on the ice in the shack! Thanks for sharing! S.

Still have to use a hand to operate it. One hand on rod, one hand on reel.....my 3rd hand is my foot. I use the footpedal for everything. S.

I still run 2 older 2 strokes. No reason to replace them, so I can't justify a new one. I keep telling myself its time for an upgrade, but just can't justify paying big bucks for something that's going to do the same thing. S.

The ipilot is great and all, but I find its a bit of a pain to run the hand control and fish at the same time. That remote is always in the way too. I guess you'd get used to it after a while, but I find it awkward. The features are great, but I use the foot pedal more than the remote. S.

Yup, thats horrible. I"m sorry you had to see that. I'm really not sure what I would have done in that situation. I would have to be there to assess it first I guess. I'm not at all saying you did the wrong thing, because you didn't!! I hate these stories. I had to put my dog down in december because he bolted after a bird, and got hit by a car. It was the most horrible day of my life. Even as a hunter, I don't like seeing animals suffer. Its a hard thing to deal with. Hopefully the dog got out and made it back home.They are tough as nails. Had a huge jigs dinner last night with a turkey, and venison roast. My god was it good! Even has peas puddin! I like to caramelize my onions, then add to the potatoes. I roll the cakes in flour and fry in salt pork fat. The real newfie way, but enough salt to kill ya!! So good though! S.

It would look way out of place in My scratched up, dented, dirty old boat.
