  1. If you want to charge all 3 you will need a 3 bank onboard charger. You can set it up the way it is now with your 2 bank connected to the TM batteries, and your engine will keep the cranking battery charged. The only time you would really need to charge the cranking battery is in the off season when the boat is not in use. S.
  2. Those are fish whistles.....work like a charm! Beauty brownies Bri!! Looks like the young lad schooled ya....haha S.
  3. I have used ipilot many times and cant stand no foot pedal. Its like a bad habit i cant break. S.
  4. If you are lucky the seafoam you added will make it to the carb. Id change the plugs and try again tomorrow. I have seen seafoam foul plugs on a really dirty engine a few timea. What kind of kill switch is on this engine? S.
  5. Pull the choke when it starts to stall and see what happens. S.
  6. Nice! I can honestly say that I love perch fishing! Always so much fun! And great eats! Nice work! S.
  7. My favourite is perch, but them gills are right up there too! I'd take them over crappies, but I love my perch! Pound for pound, those gills pull harder than anything! S.
  8. I bent my axle before my original bearings went. I still have the originals, but the new axle I put in has the E-Z lube hubs. S.
  9. Sucks bad. I'd put it on mine in a heartbeat if could still use the foot pedal. I can't stand the hand controlled remote. S.
  10. Greasing the bearings every time you go is what blew out the seals. They don't need any more grease, once they are full, they are full. Adding more just blows out seals. That's the #1 issue I see with bearing buddies, people think you need to add grease every time they move the trailer. Just leave them alone. If you don't see grease coming out, there is no need to add any. If you do see grease coming out, water is getting in, and they need some maintenance. My boat trailer has had the same bearings and grease for 5 yrs......I've never in my life had a trailer bearing problem. I'm sure I just jinxed myself though.....duh...LOL S.
  11. I was going to say, at the start of this thread, to just pop the dust covers off and have a look before doing all this. I carry an extra lubed hub/bearing assembly with me, but I've never needed it. I check my bearings once a year, and as long as the seals are good, and they are greased, they last a long time. My axle has the e-z lube system on it, and I never add grease to it. I figure if grease can't get out, water can't get in, so I just check the inner/outer seals and if they are clean and free of grease on the outside, they are good to go. People worry too much about bearings IMO.... S.
  12. I have never closed the vent on my tank. I run a 40 off a 25l tank. Vent has never been touched. No need to worry about it with your engine either. I can fish for days with mine on a full tank. Never an issue with running our of fuel, unless its a reaaaaaal long run, but obviously if your doing that, you bring extra fuel. S.
  13. Brenda is awesome! AND, she kicks butt at poker too haha.... You and I both are very lucky in that department. A woman with a passion to fish is hard to find. Great read. She has caught some real beauties! S.
  14. Did i miss the part where i said you couldnt have an opinion? Dictatorship....really? I just said i didnt like your attitude towards this particular situation. Which is my OPINION, that i am entitled to as well. The problem isnt the by laws, and creating new ones aint gonna do squat, when they already cant enforce the existing by laws. Your OPINION of making new rules, that also wont be enforced, doesnt make any sense, and wont do a thing to fix the problem. The problem is there is NO ENFORCEMENT. S.
  15. For me its hunting season.
  16. Haha....its even better in person. I battled a crowd from my boat today. Ive given up on all humanity now....haha S.
  17. Anyone been up haliburton/bancroft way? I'm assuming there is still too much ice to boat on, but maybe not?? S.
  18. The solution is enforcement of existing by laws. Nail the idiots who are giving anglers a bad name, don't punish the good ones. Attitudes like yours are what makes this world so messed up!!! S.
  19. I've been out 3 times already. Whats taking ya's so long?? S.
  20. I would second southview cottages. Good fishing off the docks for walleye and crappies at night. S.
  21. I never hear any complaints about starcrafts. I have had the same one since 95, the boat motor and trailer are all '93. Bullet proof. I hunt and fish out of mine, and Im on the water at least 100 days a year, from ice out till ice up. I've broken plenty of ice, and landed on many rocky shorelines, beaches, etc....you name it, this boat has done it. She's not pretty, but reliable, and tough as nails. S.
  22. I always hear that glass doesn't like ice, but on the east coast that's all they use in the ice.....and the saltwater. We don't get ice anything even remotely close to what they do there, and these guys swear by glass boats. My old man is out beating around the ice in a 19ft open tiller boat with a 40 yammy tiller, and says its the best boat for ice he's ever had. My dads is similar to the 19ft open boat these guys make. I can't think of the brand name of his, but its very similar to these ones. Tough as nails. http://www.seabreezeboats.ca/ S.
  23. 80lb braid makes an excellent bobber stop. I hate the little rubber football shape ones, they suck, and slide up your line on a cast, and get caught on your rod eyes reeling in so you have to adjust them all the time. I like my bobber stops to stay put. 80lb power pro, or 30lb mono works great. S.
  24. It will be working hard to get up on plane with 2 ppl and gear IMO. S.
