  4. The nastier the better for musky. We got a few in the rain today. It was good and windy too!! S.
  5. Funny you post this because I put my "mighty voyager" to rest this week too. 310K. I drove it 4 years and never did a thing to it. Oil changes, brakes and tires......she was a trooper too!! I've had that thing loaded up with so many things its not even funny! Hundreds of trips to the cottage towing the boat, with a full load of kids and equipment......never let me down. Hopefully, I don't miss her too much!! Have fun in the kia......my wife has a little rio-5 and its been a great little grocery getter so far. S.
  6. Those are some nice fish!! I hope I get one like that tomorrow!! S.
  7. If it wasn't turbo, I wouldn't have it Seems like all the people who have never had one are the ones knocking them..........jealousy makes people do crazy stuff S.
  8. I'm not even going to ask why your on a gay wheels site........ If you knew the deal I got on it, you'd snatch it up too. I know nothing about subaru's at all.......I'm a dodge ram kinda guy myself. This thing is gonna get a work out S.
  9. Well then, I guess I'll be waving with my highway finger I'll be the first redneck in a suby I guess....... s.
  10. I'm picking up a subaru forester XTi at the end of this week. I'll let ya know if there is a suby fan club. I believe there is. S.
  11. You want a MH casting rod with 30-50lb braid, 60-80lb fluoro leader. Our place is on Grace lake. If I'm there, we could certainly hook up. S.
  12. There are still musky in there. Just not as many, and when you do get one, its a good one!! Just keep casting the cabbage. I've fished that lake for at least 20 years, and that's all I do there. You have a chance at catching anything. Where are you staying? S.
  13. White spinnerbiats!!!!! Silver hammered colorado blades! Just drift the caggabe out in the middle of the lake and burn the spinners. You'll get TONs of pike, and some bass too. You might even get lucky and get a walleye or musky while your at it. That's pretty much all I use on that lake, and I fish it a fair bit in the summer. I might even be there when you are! S.
  14. My collection of rods is slowly turning into a collection of clarus's. I love them, and there are lots of options. The warranty is great too. I've only broken one of them, but got it back in 8 days, no charge. S.
  15. Atta boy TJ, good work! That girl will never forget that fish!! Ever!! Sinker
  16. Looks like a nice boat Cliff. I'd really think long and hard about the power though. Max it out!! You won't regret it, and it does make a difference. I'm not talking speed, just overall responsiveness and handling. If you don't do it now, it will be more $ down the rd. My boat is rated for a 40, I put a 30 on it and its a whole different rig. I didn't like it at all. With the 40, its great!! S.
  17. Thats your problem right there. I like wind, clouds and even a bit of rain never seems to hurt. Calm and clear is the worste it gets for musky hunting. S.
  18. Never mind the beer, break out the whiskey Good luck fishin! Sinker
  19. We got a few out of sturgeon on thursday, but nothing to brag about. Biggest was 38". Its taking a while for the weeds to get up in there for some reason. All the fish were still beat up from the spawn, and water temps were 62 in the morning, 67 by the time we left at 5pm. I'm gonna try pigeon this week, let me know how ya make out!! S.
  20. Thats all ya need on simcoe to catch any fish in the lake. Drop either one to bottom, lift, hit bottom, lift, repeat until there is a fish on the lift. Any meegs type jig will do the trick, and I like a 2" chart. tube on the end. Sinker
  21. Right on douG!!! Looks like you's timed it just right!!!! Just when the bugs are out, but not really biting is prime time for specks IMO. Judging by your pics of the circles on the water, you guys had it just perfect!! All specks are beautiful, but those ones are especially nice huh? Beauty red bellies on them. Did I mention I'm jealous?? Sinker
  22. I do better with the galvanized trap. My black one sucks in comparison.
  23. Thanks for beating me to it!!!!! I have better things to blow my $ on!!!
  24. What, your all in bed already?
  25. I think zebra mussels help them out by clearing the water up so they can see thier prey. Call me an inbred freak all ya want, I'd love to kill a boat load!!!! Sinker
