  1. I charge mine separatly. I just pop the one cable off the positives and charge one at a time. If I leave them attached I find I don't get as good a charge for whatever reason. S.
  2. You've obviously never caught a 5lb speck!! Or an atlantic for that matter. I'll agree, sm bass fight good, they're just stupid. Easy pickins, no challenge. The only reason most people fish them so much, is its easy. I like a little challenge. Bass are what I call a day saver. When the fishings tough, and you can't catch any fish with teeth..........there are always bass willing to bite. They'll hit anything, and they're everywhere you go. Easy, sleazy.........dirtly ole bass. S.
  3. There are a few lakes with walleyes, but they're generally hard to catch. How far east of hali are you going to be? Kashagawigamog has eyes, as does that whole chain of lakes. Loon lake, elephant/baptiste.......that's all that comes to mind off the top of my head. Good luck, they're tough to get. Sinker
  4. Good fishin Mike!! No musky?? S.
  5. Go to the general store and get a map of the lakes in the park. The map will also tell you what kind of fish are in each lake. There is some good trout fishing up there.......I don't bother with the bass.......too easy. Just troll a worm harness with a half worm around the middle of the lake. Let out a full cast, then two rips of line, and just troll along slow. You should get a trout, I always do. They should be 10-15ft down, over the main basin somewhere. Don't forget, they feed a lot off the surface, so don't try too hard to get down deep, you'll be fishing under them, and won't get bit. Your better off to be over them. They'll come up a long ways to check out your offerings.........getting them to bite it is another story. It should still be decent though. Sinker
  6. You'd crap if you knew how many walleyes I catch on spinnerbaits!! Orange has been good to me. You never know what you'll get on a spinnerbiat along a weed edge!! Sinker
  7. I know what I"d tell her, but I can't say that here S.
  8. Good fishing Will. That big eye is a beast, nice job on the release. Downsized has been my go to so far this year too. Whatever works eh? Sinker
  9. Yet another reason I love living in the boonies!! I don't even like driving thru the city, let alone live there!!! S.
  10. That is definitly not pollen. It could very well be anything, but, for sure ain't pollen. S.
  11. I've tried them all, and for every day use, I buy makita every time. They last, period. Second on my list is Hitachi. They make some quality goods as well. Pay more once, or pay less over and over again. You can't go wrong with quality. S.
  12. Yep, I'd be calling the Spills Action Center on that one..........I hope you already did!!!! If not, call them now..........tell me where that was and I'll call! That's nasty lookin stuff!! To report an environmental emergency – a spill to air, land or water, or a drinking water incident: Call the Spills Action Centre. Toll Free: 1-800-268-6060 Tel: (416) 325-3000 Sinker
  13. I'll guess the mornings will be 71ish, by evening 74ish all weekend long. Should be some good fishing, as long as its not too busy. I don't fish on weekends, but the crowds sure dont help. BAss opener will whip the lake to a froth. have fun out there! S.
  14. I agree with that for sure. I could post a whole whack of fish pics with those "popcorn" clouds. Next best would be rainy, windy days. Its been slow to get going, but we've been doing well on the eyes so far. Things are starting to shape up though. The summer pattern is shaping up. Nice fish Joey, real nice!! Sinker
  15. Sturg was 65 thursday of last week. We did good. 3 musky, and some real nice eyes. Find the weeds, and you'll find some fish. S.
  16. Yep, fall fish for sure. Nice report! S.
  17. TYVM sir!! If your ever in the kawartha lakes, or looking to go fishing out this way, get in touch! S.
  18. In my experience, they're all good. Just keep them charged all the time, even if you only use them briefly, it doesn't hurt to charge them up. S.
  19. Either motor will push your canoe around just fine. You can charge deep cycle batteries over and over again. No need to drain them..........BUT.......you have dual purpose batteries. If I was you, I'd take them back and exchange for DEEP CYCLES, that's what you want for your motor. Sinker
  20. Wouldn't happen to be a Power drive foot pedal would it? I"m gonna need one real soon for mine......its acting up. S.
  21. Just an FYI going from 5 to 2 fish decreases harvest by 2% I can't figure the math that only gets a 2% decrease in harvest, when the limit is dropped by over 50%? How does that work? S.
  22. I'd be fine with a 2 fish limit on the lake or river........ Inland bows are a different story though, I like to keep my 5 of those ones S.
  23. Well, when your talking about 5km winds, I don't care what direction its coming from!!! Just get out there and fish! S.
  24. I know what I would be doing, if I wasn't working.... ....and rain definitly would NOT be changing my plans!!! S.
  25. I'm from the northern peninsula. I don't know where to go where your going?? You can get lobsters most anywhere though. Shouldn't be a problem. Best way is live off the boat, boiled in real salt water on an open fire right on the beach!! You'll need a BIG pot DON'T FORGET THE SCREECH!!!! Sinker
