  1. Tuna flacoured tender vittles are my bait for minnows. It sinks, and doesn't dissolve like bread does, and stinks bigtime. I find the afternoons to be the best time for them too. I used to leave them over night, but if I put it out in the morning, then come back after lunch, its usually got enough minnows for a few trips. I keep them in a big cooler with a bubbler in my basement, they last forever in there too. I prefer dace, they live longest. Sinker
  2. I'm not sure I understand the question, but I don't thing there is any reason it wouldn't be just fine. My bowmount deploys to the left......I think. The prop end goes in the water on the port side. Sinker
  3. Yep, just split a length of 1.5" black ABS pipe on one end, and clamp it on your existing handle. Works perfect. Sinker
  4. Have you tried them??
  5. No, actually I didn't. All I missed was the part where you said thanks for the report, or good going, or congrats..........anything positive would have been nice. It was afterall a great report. And who you callin' kid?
  6. I think that could very well be your problem. The motor is going into gear, the engine runs, but the prop won't spin..........whats missing?? I think you have your answer......... Sinker
  7. Actually, its none of your business how many fish they kept. They are all within thier legal right to keep a limit. Why not just say thanks for the report, and keep your opinion to yourself?? Good fishin fella's. Lloyd knows his stuff for sure. I've never fished with him before, but I've talked to him several times at the launches around here, and he's always been willing to share valuable info with me. Sinker

    I'm a dad!

How could you possibly forget the most important opener of them all?? I guess you don't fish musky???? Congrats Dr!! It is, at the very least, a life changing experience. At least you can take him musky fishing for his birthday every year Sinker
  9. MNR......Ministry of NO RESULTS!! They all know very well about the impact of those sky rats. Its just a long and painful process to do anything about it, and as long as they can sit on thier and collect thier pay, they won't do a thing about it until its too late. Same as always, too little, too late!!!! Sinker
  10. thanks for the update! Just goes to show ya how important balanced tires are huh? sinker
  11. You are correct.
  12. No worries Glen, I also carry a Gerber I've never had to cut hooks out of a fish, and if I did, the barb end would be coming out for sure. I'd only cut hooks for my own safety, not the fish........they're tougher than I am! S.
  13. Thats why you set up on an island or point with decoys. Get them close and shoot thier faces off!!!! Fair chase, and totally legal if they would open a season on them!!!!!! Sinker
  14. I'd be first in line to whack a boat load of them!!!! A spring season on them would be perfect. Right before turkey season, just as the ice comes off. They're in big flocks then, as they're migrating north again. I'd bet if you put a few decoys up in the trees of a small island on any body of water, you'd smash them all day long. I'd be more than willing to donate a few cases of ammo to have a public cull on them.........what fun that would be!!!! We don't need to irradicate them, just keep thier numbers in check. Sure, they're native, but never in the numbers we have now!!! We even have special seasons on geese where you can kill up to 10 birds per hunter per day, and have a couple dozen in your possesion. This is just to save the city's waterfront properties................Why not do the same for commorants??? Friggen anti's......... Sinker
  15. Hopefully some sap will buy it, and the final plan won't be approved...... .......it is just a draft for now. I'm sure residents in the area aren't going to be too happy about this either, as well as the thousands of people who use the island for recreation. I think it should be donated to someone who will preserve it.......... I know, I'm dreaming!!! S.
  16. Got any fish with teeth down there Dawg??
  17. I'd say they're all low to mid 60's. Rice was just over 60 on wed/thurs last week......up to about 64ish by evening. Sinker
  18. The sad part is someone will buy it, and it will get developed at some point. Why can't people just leave good things alone. Friggen mighty dollar rules all!! I've always wondered who actually owned that island, and why there were no buildings on it. Its a great spot for shore lunch! Sinker
  19. What kind of motor is this? What year? Might help narrow it down...... S.
  20. Somewhere in that mess, your motor wires are crossed. Keep looking, and you'll find it. It could very well be your plug is wired up wrong too. Reverse your wires on the battery and see what happens. Sinker
  21. Yep, unburnt oil coming out the exaust. Run some seafoam thru it and you won't get that problem. Sinker
  22. Its one laker folks.......don't lose sleep over it!! I woulda bonked it too!!
  23. U haul in oshawa at wilson and taunton, or eastons on the 115 just north of newcastle are your best bets. I don 't know about your area swordfish, but its not hard at all.
  24. That's a beauty!!
  25. I installed mine myself. Its not hard to do. Just a few bolts and bobs your uncle. Sinker
