  1. You prolly have water in the fuel system somewhere. I'm assuming you used new gas??
  2. Redhorse.
  3. Hey Cliff, I"m off the next two days if you need a hand. I'm pretty handy with a chainsaw, and don't mind a bit of hard work. As long as my son can fish off your dock, we can come up anytime wed or thurs. Shoot me a pm if you need anything. S.
  4. 99% of my harness pulling is with the electric, using the tiller to steer. Works mint! Thats the only reason I love having a power drive electric motor. If I didn't do that so much, I'd have a cable steer.......the PD footpedals suck ass!!!! S.
  5. Well, if they do catch up to them it should be a federal offence under the MBA, as well as possible firearms related offences, so they should get some hefty fines. Who wants to bet they get off with a slap on the wrist?...........that's if they even catch them! S.
  6. My kids are getting to the point now where they outfish me when we go. They both started out in the smallest life jackets you can buy, as soon as they were big enough to wear them. S.
  7. Slime flu for sure!
  8. The 5 eyes we caught out of rice tonight didn't seem to mind S.
  9. Its much closer from Pleasant point or Long beach if your driving from the south. Pleasant point is free. Gravel launch with no docks though. Long beach has a good launch, but you have to pay, and get a key, and return it.....I gave up on that one. Its only a 5 mile run from Pleasant point to the river to Fenelon. I'm not sure you can launch at whychwood anymore either........can someone confirm this? Last time I went there, there was nobody home.........wasted a lot of my time. S.
  10. When your still partying after 2:30 am and not sitting behind this box on your jack and jill night?
  11. SEAFOAM!! GET SOME!! S.
  12. Hahaha.....we did the same sort of thing at mine, but we raced them first...... LOL!! I ate them alive too S.
  13. Yeah, we do get algae blooms, but if the weather stays like this it won't happen this year. We need water temps in the 80's to make that happen. Rice was still only 72 yesterday. S.
  14. If I let the weather decide my fishing trips, I'd never get out. Just slap on the slicker and head out......its just water! S.
  15. Yep, whoever told you that has no clue. Sometimes turnover isn't until well into Oct. It just depends on the weather/wind/temps we're getting. Fishing might be slow for a few days, but once the fish get comfy, its some of the best fishing of the season. S.
  16. Thats in cameron though, not sturgeon. You could lock thru......but why pay for the lock, when you can launch for free and run up the lake? S.
  17. Yeah, there aren't many launches up in that neck of the lake. I usually launch at pleasant point, or long beach and run up the lake. s.
  18. I'd love to hear what the actual problem was. Mine was doing the same thing so I upped my dose of seafoam to a full can in a tank of fuel and it went away. I think I just had a plugged jet in the carb or something. I dunno.......but the seafoam fixed it. I also had a bad O-ring on my fuel filter cansiter that I replaced too......that could have been the problem as well I guess. S.
  19. I've always had good dealings with shimano. Never had an issue. Any problems were resolved on the spot most times, although I've had a couple times where I had to send the equip. back and wait for a return........even then it was just the cost of shipping. S.
  20. Yeah, they are, but not as quiet as a 4 stroke. I'm still a fan of 2 strokes though. My next upgrade will be one, as long as i can still buy one when the time comes. S.
  21. Geeze Brian, I don't even waste my time checking the forcast anymore. I just look out my window. Don't you have the newfie weather vane? Works great and simple to use. You should pick one up, they're never wrong!! S.
  22. You've got yourself set up with a sweet rig now Cliff. I haven't been up that way much this year at all, but when I do I"ll make sure to stop by for a look S.
  23. Hardcore waterfowler, but I hunt deer, turkey and small game as well. My fishing gear collects dust if there is a hunting season open. S.
  24. No big deal on the gong show Brian. You gotta learn one way or another I've learned lots of things the hardway. Sometimes thats what it takes to get it thru your skull........well, in my case anyways You guys are going to have a lot of fun in that boat. Throw a couple riggers on there and your all set. An evening troll on the bay on a nice evening after work........ya can't beat that!! A kicker would be a great addition for sure. S.
  25. Another plug for Robinsons. They've been around for a long time, and they're the only ones around here that I let touch my engine. Great service from them, and nice people. S.
