  1. A little further to drive, but Garden Hill CA, and the Kendall crown land both have ponds full of panfish. You might even get lucky and hook into a rainbow. S.
  2. I'd leave a note on my cached boat with my name and number, and a quick blurb about what I do to people who steal from me!! That's Bull IMO. I have a few boats in out of the way places too..........now you have me wondering............please let us know what you find out. S.
  3. Anyone can enter baby fish Sinker (6'4" )
  4. I go by what my graph tells me. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but its close enough for me. S.
  5. Come on Glen.......do you really think you have a chance? You have every species entered, but they're all babies!!! Get out and catch some real fish!! I haven't even entered a musky yet, or a great lakes trout, or a bass. I don't bother with babies!!!! Trophies or nothin buddy!!!! S.
  6. Save beer.........drink WHISKEY!!! S.
  7. You got it. If you only have a two prong cord, you can plug it in and have the posts reversed, hence the three prong plug with one not used. S.
  8. Good choice with the Starcraft! I've had mine for 13 years and not a complaint! Nice boat for sure!! S.

    Kiss Sucks

Whatever.........the rama show was killer!!! S.
  10. We get most of ours on sliders off the riggers this time of year on inland lakes. For whatever reason, they don't like the lure at the ball...........even with long leads. I always run a silver/blue williams wabbler on a slider set at 50-60ft down. The other rigger has a gold/chartreuse wabbler on a slider, set either shallower or deeper..........I'd say 95% of them are on the sliders. Even if I'm marking all my fish at a certain depth, and set the riggers to that depth, I still get them on the slider.........weird. Its been a little slow lately though. My buddy who does a lot of laker fishing around haliburton has only been getting one or two per trip the last couple weeks.......and he lives there! Oh, find some bait and work it over real good. S.
  11. Sincerest condolences Wayne. Keep your chin up, bud. S.
  12. I'd keep it all. Never get rid of tackle, you never know when you'll be someplace where they're just nailing fish on that one lure you never use. Trust me, I've been there!!! Keep it all!!!! S.
  13. Looks like a great trip! Those christmas trees really do work on lakers!! S.
  14. Its also the highest tide of the year tonight. The newfs can tuff er' out. S.
  15. I had the same thing happen to my trailer axle, only mine did snap off...........just as I pulled over the curb into my driveway.........thank god. Its way better now with a 2500lb'er . S.
  16. I used PT fence boards on mine. They say PT wood will corrode aluminum, but I thinks its Bull........mine has been in there for almost 6 years so far. No issues. S.
  17. Mine just bounces wherever it wants to go.......usually to the right though S.
  18. Yep, if your going to BC, you gotta fish for the sturgeon in the Fraser!! Oct. is a really good time of year for the giants!! I went in the spring and had a blast!! If you need more info, shoot me a pm. S.
  19. I've been to BPS twice now, and left with nothing both times. I won't be back there, no need to go that far for nothing........even if it saves me a few bucks, I'd rather stay close to home. If I need salmon gear I hit up Gagnons. Musky gear its tightlines or Marks Worm Wearhouse. Anything else I need I can usually get at CT in Lindsay........they have a wicked fishing section. I also do a lot of dealings with Kawartha Bait and Tackle. Gerry will get you anything you want in short order.......if he doesn't have it. He also makes some nice custom spinners in there. Just ask if you don't see it, and he will either make it, or get it in for you. He doesn't have a pile of stuff, but the stuff he has is what you need. I've been meaning to stop in at Hirks for ages now, but still haven't been in there. I have to check it out. S.
  20. Read it again Mike.....its all in there This was a total meat hunt GCD........a successful one at that even S.
  21. Loose connection, low power on battery, bad ground......just to mention a few. S.
  22. Well, a couple buds and myself headed out to the lake today. The dock talk at the launch was that the fish were at 200ft. We ran out there and set up, still headed deeper. 7 miles and counting. First fish happened pretty quick, a rainbow for rich. Then this guy hit on my turn.... Frank was up next, but he didn't care much for a photo....he just wanted that fish on ice, and the line set back up ;D I took one anyways....another bow. We were marking lots of bait. We basically did a figure 8 between two big schools of bait the whole time we were out. We went from 200-250ft in and out. A little brownie......my buddy got one about 14lbs on friday around the same area. The lake was flat calm, and hotter than hell!!! Nice sunset though.... We pulled lines at 8pm and headed in with some meat, and smiles on our faces. 4 bows, one chinook and the brown. Kept a bow each for dinner. We missed a couple more, and lost 2 fish too. All came off the riggers on a clown coloured NK down 35-50ft over 200-250. We had one more hit on the small diver out 200, but it didn't stick. Nice way to cool off once the sun gets going down on these hot days ;D S.
  23. Good stuff guys!! It was a beauty day out there today. S.
