  1. I have been their for 4 years straight, starting in the summer of 2001. I can echo what tipupesox said. The cabins were very clean. The cedar boats are kept in excellent shape. The hosts very attentive. Overall the fishing was okay, caught a few eyes and pike. Some years were better then others. I caught my PB musky just out from welcome lodge..near Musky Island (see big purple spot on map). The "west arm" elbow is short boat ride away as well. I have not been back since 2004. Our group just wanted to try something different and have nothing but good things to say about Welcome Lodge and the hosts. FOTB
  2. Great read. Excellent report and pics TJ!! Thanks for sharing. It looks like everyone had a great time. I would like to do a flyin at Kesagami Lake someday. Better start saving now. FOTB
  3. so did i.
  4. I'm a Sens fan as well...so take it easy specktacklure. Sit back and relax and watch the Sens game tonight. If they lose....know that they lost to the better team. Changes will be coming. I actually hope they make Fisher the captain and trade alfie. He is not getting any younger and basically cost his team game 4. It was a bonehead move in game 4 and a bonehead move in the Sabres game with the Tallinder hit. It is..what it is. FOTB
  5. That doesnt sound like a bad idea. FOTB
  6. I'm a Sens fan that agree's that Alfie actions were of the bonehead variety. Some fans in Ottawa are even blaming his actions on the game 4 loss. There is no doubt in my mind this incident gave the Ducks some extra inspiration/motivation. FOTB
  7. If memory serves me correctly it is between Northbay and the Highway 64 turnoff to go south towards the west arm and the french river. I live in Ottawa, so the best route for me is highway 17 to highway 64. If you live in western ontario...you would never pass the sign going to the French River. FOTB
  8. T-bone, I fished there two years ago. The fishing in that lake is not the greatest. Sure you'll get your walleye here and there, but your best bet up that way is Nippissing for sure IMO. What works? Go simple IMO. 1/4 oz jig heads, vary the colours, tip with white or green powergrubs and a minnow. Work your boat over the humps and around the weed edges in the morning and evening hours drifting and you should do all right. Check out McConnell & Shields point and the narrows, you may get into some eyes. Lots of perch as well!! Good Luck wherever you go. FOTB
  9. That's odd Cliff, because i see all your entries at OFAH. The Carp entries, the Pike entry, etc. It's all there. Here's your most recent Carp entry (not the 37 incher).... http://www.ontarioanglerawards.com/Entry/D...m?EntryID=12398 FOTB
  10. I'll be driving past that sign in about 3 weeks, on my way to the French River. I'll be sure to snap a pic of me and the sign. Only 23 more sleeps and i'll be for a week. FOTB
  11. Congrats on the PB Carp. Excellent report as always. Thanks for sharing. Keep those inches coming. I can see it now...bly gets a 37.5 incher down the road, then you get a 38 incher, then bly gets a 38.5 incher and so on. It's only a matter of time. FOTB
  12. Even though i never met you. I feel like i've known you for years. I also appreciated yor comments about my dads paintings. Rest In Peace and Fish in Peace.

  13. Congrats on the 2000 posts Cliff. I always look forward to reading your posts. Especially the fishing reports. To say you are a valued member of this community, is an understatement. You and bly are both huge contributors to this community and for that you get a big FOTB
  14. Excellent Report. Thanks for sharing. Congrats on a few more inches for Team Up-Scalers. Enjoy the lead (for now). Is there pic of the catfish, with the ofncommunity sign? FOTB
  15. Anyone know who won the Curtis Atwater/Extreme Angler TV Muskie Painting? Whoever it was, congratulations on winning that excellent painting and thanks to Curtis Atwater/Extreme Angler TV and OFC for the contest. FOTB
  16. good one
  17. If you do end up going, let us know how you do. Take lots of pics. We love pics. I'm heading up to the French in 29 days. FOTB
  18. If all else fails....print this out and have fun fishing for bass, when the season opens. Lots of bass ponds listed. FOTB
  19. Excellent Report Cliff and some nice carp. If you keep up this pace, I see you both landing a Carp over 35" very soon. Right now Bly has the longest Carp at 35" and you are right behind at 34.5". This is turning into an interesting and fun little competition, between you two. IMO either you or bly will have the longest Carp in the 2007 OFC Tournament and maybe even one of the longest eyes as well, based on some of the eye reports i've seen from you and bly several months ago. Keep these awsome reports coming. FOTB
  20. That was a great video. The smile says it all. Your nephew is hooked for life. Thanks for sharing. FOTB

  22. They look like Creek Chub jointed Pike/Musky Lures to me. FOTB
  23. Hi LPG, Check this link out for Booi's outpost. It has lots of information and is probably where you are staying. There is a map of Joyce Lake as well. It looks like you are in for some trophy pike. Joyce Lake's claim to fame are the titanic trophy pike that inhabit her waters. There's an army of savage Northerns in the 18 to 33 lb. size. This outpost has been catch and release for the pike since 1987. There are some decent eyes to be had as well. As far as wildlife and scenery goes...check these links out. Wildlife Scenery Sunsets From the looks of it....you will have a great time and i hope you enjoy the trip. FOTB
