That's GREAT new Shelly! Here's to a speedy recovery now.

My grandfather had the procedure done a few years ago and thnigs are working much better now. Enjoy the meds and have a speed recovery. You'll be fine. Right now they are monitoring mine every six months. So I'm guessing I'll be going down the same road as you but hopefully not for quite a few years. (fingers crossed) Take care.

Something everyone here should take the time and do is read this. Thanks for posting.

It seems to be missing on my maps as well Terry. Some great looking fish, thanks for the report.

Good on you HH. I hope things went well with the interview.

Very sad indeed. From the Toronto Sun. KESWICK -- A 60-year-old North York man who went missing while ice fishing over the weekend has been found dead. York Regional Police located the body of Ilia Vaxman floating on Lake Simcoe by helicopter. Officers found the missing man's vehicle around 1 a.m. yesterday parked at the south end of Osbourne St. in Roches Point -- just north of Keswick, about an hour north of Toronto.

I'm pulling for you. My thoughts and prayers going out to all.

Sorry, didn't see this thread before I posted mine. I hate to post this but I think the family needs our thoughts and prayers at this time. I hope he is OK. Police search for missing Toronto ice fisherman The Canadian Press ROCHES POINT, Ont. — Police are searching the southern tip of Lake Simcoe and the shoreline for a missing 60-year-old man from Toronto. York Regional police say the man was last seen setting out to go ice fishing in the lake near the town of Roches Point. The man's vehicle has been found in the town. Police say the man, whose name has not been released, suffers from diabetes and is bi-polar. Authorities say that due to the warmer temperatures, the ice is very unsafe on Lake Simcoe and other water bodies in southern Ontario.

They had a good selection at Gagnons the other day when I was in there. Now are you looking for a tow bar or the hitch for your sled? If you need it for your sled try Royal Distributing -
This is from Canada AM Canada AM While digital picture frames have been on the market for a few years updated versions are now available that make transferring your photos from your digital camera a snap. Technology expert Kris Abel has more details. 1. Philips PhotoFrames- (sizes range from 7" - 9") (PRICE RANGE: 7" Acrylic PhotoFrame) - $250 9" Metal PhotoFrame - $320 The big change in digital frames is that, for the first time, we're starting to see screens that can match the quality, the resolution of paper prints. At just 7", for example, Philips' frame displays 88 per cent more pixels per inch than a 17" computer monitor. With a digital frame, you add pictures by either popping in the memory card from your camera or you can connect it to your computer with a USB cable and download files to the frame. Once loaded with pictures, these frames can play slideshows, with music from MP3 songs, and even play short video clips. Philips frames can even display the time and be used as a clock and you can even set a timer to have the frame turn off and power on at pre-set times during the day. When guests come over, you can unplug the frames and, thanks to a rechargeable battery, hand the frame around and guests can use the button controls to sift through your pictures like you would do with a photo album. The 7" model comes with swappable, magnetic frames for different colours. 2. Kodak EasyShare Frames (sizes range from 7" - 10") (PRICE RANGE: 7" Standard SV710 (no wireless) - $150 10" Wi-Fi EX1011 - $330 Kodak Canada has taken the idea a little further by creating a line of widescreen picture frames. And they have models that include a built-in Wi-Fi connection, making it easy to update your photos through any wireless source (eg. computer, iPhone, PDA, website etc.). Their 10" models even include some basic photo-editing software, and finally, they come with their own remote so you can control the slideshow from across the room. These are highly recommended 3. eStarling 2.0 Wi-Fi Photo Frame 7"- www.thinkgeek.com (PRICE: 220$ US- 230$ CAN) This digital frame can use its Wi-Fi connection to go online and grab new photos either through its own e-mail address or from an RSS feed. It can connect to Flickr, for example, and look for photos based on a search term. You can type in the phrase "cool Japanese robots" and it will automatically collect photos that match that phrase and create a slideshow with them. This is perfect for companies who are keen to see if there's photos out there that feature their products (imagine if your the head of Roots Canada, Canadian Idol, or Nike shoes, etc.) And yes, you can e-mail photos to it from your cellphone. 4. 15" Gigantor Digital Photo Frame"- www.thinkgeek.com (PRICE: 250$ US- 260$ CAN) This product has just been announced. The Gigantor breaks the 10" size barrier by offering the first high-resolution display (1024 x 768) at 15". It offers the same basic features (eg. slideshow, music, video clips, infra-red remote control), but thanks to its size, it can also support 12 megapixel pictures (in case you have a 12 megapixel camera). It features with a cherry wood frame and can be mounted on a wall.

Good on ya for giving it a go. I would have gladly changed my day to be out there with you if I could have. You might have been on the water a half hour earlier with another guy shovelling. At least you got one and that's better then what most did for the entire weekend of the the g2g. Since it wasn't a double digit, no picture required.

Sorry for your loss Gary. My condolences to you and your family.

Say Hi to Bonnie and Dave for me from Will and James. GREAT people and GREAT food. Dave cooks a great trout on the BBQ. I think that the trout are out of season when you'll be up there though.

Couldn't agree more with you Terry.
-
I wish I could help you out but it's been about 3 years since I was up there. Some beautiful country up that way and some good fishing to be had on Larder Lake. Have a safe trip.

Hey Cliff, The pleasure was mine. Thanks for the coffee and let's try to get out and go for a fish asap. Let me know what your think of the fish and chips if you get down there to try them out. Don't forget the coupons!

Great news!!! Congrats to everyone!

Better start wearing some sun screen. LOL! Great report!!! Looking forward to the Steelhead reports now!
-
If I had know I would have come over with my snowblower Bly. But the real question here is why weren't you in bed while Cliff was shovelling the snow??? There better be an extra special present under the tree for Bly this year Cliff. I like MTP's idea of the gps/sonar combo for the boat. I'm sure that will make her very happy or drive her nuts waiting to use it.

Finally have sometime to get caught up on the board and see I've missed a lot!!! Nice fish you two! Looking forward to part 2.

It would be no fun at all! lol! A buddy of mine has been telling me to use the helmet in those conditions for years. After bringing them along and leaving them in the storage compartment a few times, I decided to just leave them at home.
