Got out with FishnSled last week, launched outta Whitby for an after work evening fish. Shore temps were stupid hot, but it was quite nice on the lake.
After the five mile run out, pretty quiet until an 8 lb Rainbow hit the rigger. Stayed quiet until we decided to start trolling in as it was getting late. Triple header of Chinnies made for a few minutes of chaos. One spit the hook and the other two made it to the boat. Was a blast and looking forward to our next trip!
For some unknown reason I can't post the pic right side up!

My son and I hit Simcoe today, he was just using a hook and worm, caught a ton of perch and rock bass including a couple big ones, I also took one of my favourite pictures of him so far, the one at the front of the boat.
I caught a bunch too but was just messing around with my in-line spinners for pike.
Note - I’ve been trying to get him to not hold the fish as far out as that lol!
Maybe I should of left it upside down Joe . He looks much thinner for some reason,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,🤣
Just curious ? Is that the broom sweeper holding that rod ?
Nice silver

I've been pulled over and checked twice this summer in PS. Be very aware of the sanctuary boundaries if you plan on fishing lake trout. As for other species, follow the regs for FMZ14 (And read the exceptions)
You may get a very very rare one out in the big water but your best bet is to go south towards parry sound.
ive fished the area for almost 15 years now and never caught on up in PAB specifically.
Was a dock foreman for a few years and have seen some close calls and only 1 collision causing damage to the vessels. In every situation where the boat got out of control alcohol was a factor.
The owner is Dave Smetana and his wife Cara, they have four young lads. I've known him for a long time but had lost touch after a mutual friend passed away. He used to have his own security business and as well still operates an archery only deer camp on 500 acres of private land not too far from Innisville. All American clients. Real nice guy, super hard worker that goes way out of his way to keep clients happy. He bought the place in 2014 and hasn't looked back. Won awards in his first two years and Canada in the Rough and Extreme Angler have done shows there. Not just fishing, he also runs bear baits. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a call to get answers to your questions. Looks to be booked up for the most part till September from what I see on his website. https://www.olivethelake.com/
Here's a short video from Keith Beasley up there before Dave bought it.
