  2. I'm really lucky to have a creek behind me (literally 75m from my back door) and a river 90 seconds drive. Opener was busy this year I'm not use to seeing many people there. I still managed to keep a good distance from everyone and get into some fish.

  4. I picked up a bar fridge yesterday for $20. I am hoping to stock up before the marina on Nipissing opens up at the end of May. I will be out tonight picking. When I was young I used to bend over while picking worms, now I am on all fours with a head light. My back isn't what it used to be.

  6. I've never seen so many huge dew worms. Every clump of sod I was moving back to where it belonged on Monday, from that careless snow plow guy, had dozens and dozens in every clump.

  9. I made small fortune selling dew worms. Dad thought it was crazy Idea we lived on HWy 2 west of Whitby. Started out at 1 cent a worm then up price to 2 cents, I got nice french fry box for worms. Most where repeat customers if I wasn't home they got there Worms and left money in door I'd have $5- 10 some days. 1967 my dad was driving truck for $95 a week. Bought my parents a frig and later a stand up freezer. Think everybody in family had it at some time.

  15. Excellent video. The single hook makes a big difference for snagging. That water looked ideal for using a Rebel Crick Hopper or Big Ant lure as well. Same technique but with a small wiggling lure. I use them always for Steelies but I replace the 2 tiny treble hooks with one (rear) treble hook and in deeper pools I put a bit of BB weight about 2 feet up the line to get it down into the pool while not impeading the action. The steelies get pissed off and really nail it hard.

  19. Been working from home for the last few weeks due to the Corona's. Seems I can manage more energy fer the cooking when working from my couch all day. 😂 Tonight's dinner was pineapple chicken with Chinese veggies and Canton noodles. Here's a few past dinners. Beef burritos with lettuce and cheese. Spaghetti with meat sauce. Beef stew with baby red taters. Orange ginger chicken stir fry with rice. Ham with scalloped potatoes and baby carrots. A robust bacon cheese burger and fries.
