lew Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) I bought a new lawn mower this morning and in the box was a small packet of STA-BIL to put in the 1st tank of gas. I was reading the label and came across a message that states "WARNING....this product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer" I've got a couple other bottles of STA-BIL in the garage that don't have that warning. Just thought others may find it interesting. Edited May 10, 2014 by lew
OhioFisherman Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/files/P65single062212.pdf Lew, I think most items sold stateside carry that warning, California's list is pretty extensive.
irishfield Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Everything sold to California causes defects..... have you ever seen what happens to women when they move to rodeo drive...
lew Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 That's a crazy long list Paul, perhaps I'll remove California from those places I may like to visit someday LOL
BowSlayer101 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 almost all my sinker packs and a lot of my lure packages say that lol.
kickingfrog Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Lots of fishing rods to now have that same warning. Just one more thing to shake your head at from Cali.
Canuck2fan Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Does the sillycon need to have warnings on it when it gets installed on Rodeo drive? LOL
SirCranksalot Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Doctors have just discovered that saliva causes cancer, but only if swallowed in small quantities over a long period.

It does make you wonder Lew.
lew Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 That's interesting Paul how the western half of the States seems to have a much lesser incidence of cancers.
npt1 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Well, apparently everything has side effects, I have heard that wedding cake can ruin your sex life. just my 2 cents worth.
Dave Bailey Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 Everything sold to California causes defects..... have you ever seen what happens to women when they move to rodeo drive... You can close the thread now, it's been won.
Joey Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 Well I might as well keep smoking then, my fishing rod will get me anyhow.......
Sinker Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 The list of non cancer causing agents is much shorter.....wait a minute....there isnt one! S.
OhioFisherman Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 That's interesting Paul how the western half of the States seems to have a much lesser incidence of cancers. I think the dust from the nuclear testing back in the 50's and 60's blew this way? http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20120813/state-obesity-rankings-no-winners Diet and exercise?
