mr blizzard Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 Your right, it is much drier than what we had in Barrie. I would happy fish in -35 up here than -10 back in Barrie where we had spent 18 years. Your ice fishing seasons here are guaranteed.
mr blizzard Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 -38?? I knew there was I reason I don't live up north. At -38 .....thats the start of our bbq season up here

Rich Clemens Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 We freak out when the temp drops below 0. Can't imagine that. Coldest down here I can recall was -25 F a number of years ago.
Joey Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 Joey we met briefly at fishing for Tylor a few years ago, your welcome to come up and relive the Flin Flon memories. Just bring a couple of steaks. Sounds like a good deal to me I might just have to take you up on that offer

capt_hooked Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 At -40C = -40F.... folks generally switch to F. below -40...
DRIFTER_016 Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 At -40C = -40F.... folks generally switch to F. below -40... Why switch? It's not like C & F are all of a sudden the same below -40 -45C = -49F -50C = -58F -55C = -67F -56.66 = -70F The boiling point of liquid nitrogen -60C = -76F -67.22 = -89F The lowest recorded temp. ever (Snag Yukon a long time ago)
GreenCanada Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 The lowest natural temperature ever recorded on Earth was in 1983 at the Soviet Vostok Station in Antarctica, where it reached −89.2 °C or −128.6 °F. But I hear it didn't feel that cold, because it was a dry cold
dhickey Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 Why switch?
