Gbay Muskie revisited

Was able to get to my familys cottage for a fall closeup, weather was miserable for the last 5 days, but managed one decent fish in the five days there during a break in the weather, Pulled this girl just off a rock point in 8 fow on a rainbow double cowgirl, measured her at 48 inches, first pic is of this year, cool part is I am 90% sure this is the same fish I caught last year not 2 feet away, on oct 17th 2011, which measured 47" 28lbs and was caught on black silver showgirl. the fin rips are 100% the same, although the spots are little less defined this year, first pic is of this year, second last year, check it out

Very nice musky!

You can tell it is the same one just by looking at the plating and its face.

This has happened to me as well. Did a post on a few different versions of board going back many yrs. ago.

Here is that post.

No doubt to me you caught the same fish twice.

Beauty fish and surroundings. Congrats!

Nice fish!! It's funny, I have never caught the same fish before but have seen fish that I have caught on the same spot. Then all of the tagged musky I have caught have moved up to 5 km from where they were first tagged! I guess some stay around the same spots and some move around their whole life.

Tagged Muskie on GBay... interesting!

LOOKS LIKE THE SAME FISH...

THE DARK SPOT ON ITS BACK LOOKS THE THE ONLY SCUFF THAT HASNT CHANGED....

MY BROTHER DID A RECAPTURE A FEW YEARS BACK... 55 INCHER TWICE IN THE SAME SEASON... 2 MONTHS APART... ON THE SAME SPOT... ONCE EARLY SEASON (LATE JUNE- LATE LULY) THEN AGAIN IN EARLY FALL (SEPT-OCT)...

HAD A PATTERN OF LAMPREY MARKS ON ITS HEAD THAT WERE UNMISTAKABLE....
