  1. I will take the knipex and pliers if they are still available.
  2. View Advert Portable 6hp Seldom used Portable 6hp mercury motor for sale. Used sparingly on weekends and for a few weeks in the summer for the last 3 years. 3. Interesting post. We have a family cottage on Simcoe Island, just off the north eastern tip of Wolfe Island, and I recently upgraded my boat so that I can fish a bit bigger water. I'm mainly a musky guy, but am definitely looking to find other species to target before the fall trolling season. I am interested in ice out/early season lake trout flat line trolling.
  4. I went camping there once a long time ago. Pretty area, the fishing was not great. I think we caught once big bass and that was it.
  5. Hi all, I am looking for a 2500 spinning reel, and a 6wt fly rod and reel. I have a 1000 spinning reel to offer for trade, as well as an abu garcia revo toro 51 musky reel and a good variety of musky lures for trade. I'm also wiling to buy
  6. The musky hunter did a show on Stoco a few years ago. Try to ignore the crazy little guy with the funny accent. http://muskyhuntertv.com/march-5-2016-stoco-muskies/
  7. I checked my iPhone app, and it seems as though mine does not expire. I bought it years ago, so maybe I am grandfathered in to the non subscription option?
  8. Look into Wiley Point Lodge http://wiley.totemresorts.com/. In my opinion it is the best place to stay in terms of location and amenities on LOTW by a large margin, but It is not the most economical. Keep in mind that if you want to target musky the season does not open up until the 3rd Saturday in June on LOTW.
  9. Does anyone know if the Cabelas in Barrie has the Helix 1o in stock on sale? I would consider making the trip up on Saturday, but don't want to drive all the way up from Toronto to find that they don't have what I want.
  10. If I were you I'd hit the Detroit. It looks like the shad are coming in thick right now. Good luck.
  11. There is a great musky fishery developing on the St. John River. If you make it close to to the bottom of the river there is also a striper run up there, not sure on the time of year.
  12. I got an email saying they are officially sold out. I wish I had seen that earlier. I'm looking at getting the Helix 5 G2 SI. It costs $680.
  13. I was told at the call center that I may still be able to get it, they will call or email me if possible. Ridiculous deal. I was looking at getting the 5 G2 SI, and it is $70 less. If I can get this it is like like 3X bigger!!!!
  14. I'm guessing it was am error. On the phone with customer service now. Website is down
  15. I have done a bit more reading. It seems like you are correct. It just struck me as odd, as I had only seen this type of minnow in salt water before yesterday. You learn something new every day. It looked like the cormorants were gorging on them.
  16. I went down to the lake Ontario waterfront yesterday, and while I was dragging a large rubber lure hooked in to a few 3 spined stickle backs, and was wondering if they are invasive to Lake Ontario and if I should be contacting the MNR?
  17. That makes me wonder who that CO got the job, as the regulations clearly indicate that tigers are considered musky
  18. To each there own. For me casting and trolling big, expensive baits, I'll go with the highest pound test that I can load up with at least 100 yds on my casting lines, longer for trolling. Putting backing on is good, but you can also put a little backing on and reverse your line every year or two as well. Either way you are getting longer life out of the line. I wouldn't want any less then 100yds for casting, it's not the length of the run that will get you, it's the length of the cast.
  19. The line capacity on the Lexa 400 is large enough to spool up with 100#. As long as you have enough capacity on the reel I wouldn't ever do with less then 100#.
  20. I don't really like mine, but know a few guys who love it. There is also a new Tranx being released.
  21. All the above reels you mentioned will be fine throwing 8's, but will not be good for throwing 10's, and you will probably have some issues with reel failure. You should be able to find a used winch for that price point. I would avoid the Lexa for throwing blades, as the reliability seems to be hit and miss.
