Every year, my sister invite us over to her cottage for the weekend and every year I look forward to being there :) This past weekend was the time my family and I get to spend quality time up there for the last few days of our vacation B)

The cottage is situated on an island and surrounded by water... only way to get there is by boat B) Tranquility and peace is what I look forward to when going up :)

No hydro, phone, TV, computer to play with but there's lots more things to do for the whole family like going on the beach and sit in the sun with a cold drink :thumbsup_anim: and when it's too hot, hit the lake B) Water skying, fishing, hiking in the bush or going for a boat ride are all great activities to do B)

Here's a view of the beach

Holy moly Jacques, your daughter is a beautiful young woman! Amazing how fast they grow up.

Sure is Simon!!! Your telling me.... Mélissa is going to be 17 this fall :) One more year in High school and then she graduates :o times sure flies by fast :)

Brother in law calls the scarecrow "The Beach Keeper"... he protects the flower beds behind it from a doe and her 2 fawns from eating them... They always come out during the night and in the morning, see their tracks on the beach B)

Your right, bijou is the right word for this place :)
