Handlebarz Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I just got this pic from a guy who was out fishing musky and caught this monster smallie on a Electric Black Double 10
grimsbylander Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Awesome looking smallie...what a football!
mike rousseau Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 i got a 24 inch 7.5lb smallie on a 8 inch minnow while fishing for musky... and i get big largmouth a couple times a year... like 5 lbers
mercman Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Now thats a good testament to the quality of your baits, eh Mike?
Fang Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Best big bass lure on Scugog is a muskie bucktail
BillM Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I caught a monster smallie on a TopRaider on the French a few years ago!
lew Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I don't fish for bass at all but every year I land a couple bigguns on musky baits, and the bigger the baits, the bigger the bass. Darned pesky green fish
mike rousseau Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 It's a teez when you've been casting 8oz baits all day and when you finally get a hit... Bucket mouth...
Dara Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I got a 3 inch pearch on a 7 inch Rapala last week
mike rousseau Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Last night got 2 perch trolling 30 foot model taildancers... Lol
canada414 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I got a 2lb. er hooked on the side of the head trolling the a 10" soft muskie bait. Release fine though.
SRT8 smoker craft Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 exactly why I throw 10" worms and huge flippin jigs for bass they are lazy fish and want 1 huge meal over a bunch of little ones sometimes and some days they want a fly LOL stupid fish
Cudz Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 4 fours will always beat 5 threes. Not as many but often bigger with the big baits. That is a big fat smallie for this time of year. Was the pic taken a few weeks ago? Maybe she had not spawned yet?? odd. Nice fish though.
