That is a Golden eagle those birds of prey are huge. Make my MaCaw look like a budgie. I kept birds of prey for allmost six yrs back in the UK used to help out a local birds of prey rescue. They are awesome birds so much power & majestic at the same time. That really is a neat shot.

Awesome shot.

I love watching those large birds in action.

Lots of bald eagles in the area I moose hunt.

I could watch them all day.

Little trivia for ya.

Did ya know that a group of Golden eagles is infact called a > Kettle of eagles.

Did you also know that the golden eagle can reach speeds from 200 to 320 km/h when diving.

Pretty incredible huh!

This past summer behind my cottage an osprey and a heron battled over a small pike. The heron ended up with the fish. I would have bet on the osprey beforehand. We also have bald eagles nesting a kilometer away for the last several years. They are huge. :)

A few years ago some lady almost lost her dog to a grey owl, lucky for her the dog was chained down . :-)

It certainly looks real to me. Why would anyone claim that it's not real? Snopes seems to agree with me.

You are correct DanC, Snopes does not lie! Check out the series of photos taken buy the Finnish photographer, wild....

Wow. Thanks Burtess. I hadn't checked that link out. That pretty much seals the deal I'd say. The photos are as real as they come. Here's the LINK to the rest of the photos in the series.

Thanks for the link Dan, those are amazing shots for sure. I bet the photographer got paid $50,000 tops from national geographic or something for this once in a lifetime shot, but the paparazzi gets a million for a lazy shot of Paris Hilton. :D:D:D
